(Former member speaking here) I can't begin to tell you what a great group of guys and gals they are, having joined up almost a year before Destiny was even out I spent a lot of my free time in teamspeak with other members and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. We spent months speculating about what we would see when we first stepped over the threshold of the tower... good times. Eventually the Beta came out and we attacked with the hunger and coordination of a pack of wolves, analyzing every minute detail. We moved in our preordained fireteams, groups of three who had been carefully selected for their compatibility. We explored every nook and cranny of Old Russia that was available to us leaving no cave unexplored, no building un-scavenged, no minion of the Darkness un...un-dead? A week went by and it was time to part ways with Destiny until it's launch, we waited with baited breath for our next trip to the last city. Days past, then weeks and months, finally it was time to once again fight for the salvation of humanity. The moment our guardians rose from the ashes of Old Russia we broke into a sprint, grinding the levels and arming ourselves with only the finest of weapons and armor. Working together we overcame anything in our path knowing full well the monster lurking behind the door we were all to eager to open. As the door to the Vault of glass swung open my raid group, one of a handful Prime guard had available to send into the Vault at the time (and the only one on the Xbox one console) attacked the entryway to the vault. Surely anyone who reads this has at least attempted the Vault by now (if not you better get in there before Crota Claus comes to town) just as well I'm sure most of you find Atheon and his subordinates to be child's play. Now imagine entering the Vault with no prior knowledge of the engagements, doesn't sound so easy does it. We were like rats being introduced to a maze, ever so eager to find the cheese in it's heart. As we fumbled around in the dark our fellows on PlayStation threw themselves at the Vault with equal intensity. But Alas! our moral began to wane and we found ourselves several hours into the fight with half the battle still ahead of us. We decided to reconvene in a few hours as most of us had to go to work or classes. Having returned to the fray we faced a new problem, our raid leader was nowhere to be seen. We assessed the situation and decided to pull a member from our reserves, we were going in again. Without our leader we were forced to take it from the top, but we noticed something. What took us hours at first was taking us minutes. The Templar, an enemy who had thrashed us around like leaves in a storm was now smote with relative ease. We pressed on, walking over the broken bodies of Vex and deeper into the Vault's mysterious depths. it was in these deepest regions we faced another roadblock, the Gorgon's Labyrinth. The Gorgons and their deathly stares cost us valuable time, time we could not afford to lose. After many an aggravating death at the hands of those tentacled bastards we found ourselves on Atheon's doorstep. It was here that our party of adventurers faced defeat in such abundance that it forced us to disband and bide our time for another attack. With our tails tucked between our legs we ascended back to the surface and into our ships. Not all was lost, as our group had lost the last of it's will to fight our PlayStation comrades had triumphed over Atheon. After congratulating our comrades on their success, we prepared to again enter the Vault. Long after our victory over the vault members of PrimeGuard began to grow restless, myself being one of them. I began to frequent our sites forums less and even stopped going on to teamspeak for days at a time. Eventually I found myself playing Destiny close to once a week. As I gradually grew more distant I felt myself overwhelmed by real world responsibilities. As much fun as I had with everyone I wasn't about to let Destiny become a priority over my real life. I expected what came next. One day I decided to hop on and play some crucible with some clan mates, looking at my name I noticed the lack of a particular pair of letters. Hoping onto The PrimeGuard homepage I confirmed my suspicions, no longer was I a member of PrimeGuard. With this new knowledge I began to send out a few messages to Friends I had made, I expressed my understanding towards their decision but also asked they acknowledged my regret over no longer being a member. I honestly hadn't expected many responses but I received them in abundance. I'll never forget the friends I made in PrimeGuard whether they were a close comrade a sharp tongued jokester a tactful raider or one of our charismatic, if not short tempered, leaders. And to any "Primegahdguyz" who read this, best of luck in the Dark below. Right now I still plan on making my way into the Hell mouth to face off against Crota but I find myself without five guardians at my sides.
