I have a USA account but I live in Japan, and as such I purchased the Japanese version of the Destiny disc- it plays all in English. Works no problem. I recently bought the DLC Expansion Pass from the USA PS store (as that it whom my account is with) and found out it isn't compatible with my game disc because DLC on Playstation is region locked- amazing logic. Thanks for the warning. So I have just paid for the DLC for nothing. Determined not to give up because of the ridiculous amount of hours I have put into this game, i'm am faced with the issue of "to play this game and its DLC I will need to buy the DLC on a Japanese account"- I think this is too risky as it might not work on my USA account and it could very well be in Japanese. The other option is if I buy the US version of the game. BUT I'm wondering, if I go this option, will my saves and progress carry over to this region version of the game? Will I be able to pick up where I left off? Or will I have to start from scratch again? Just to clarify- same account, same game, different region version of the game. Help me, please, Bungie. For a guy that just wants to play your game and DLC. Please. Adding to this- I will also say this, if I cant find a safe 100% guaranteed solution, I wont be risking spending further money on this. And that also means the clan I have- another 6 people, all in the same situation- wont be either. Obviously we don't want this to happen, but what does Bungie/PSN expect? Just keep spending money blindly to see what works? I'm sure our clan wouldn't be the only foreigners in Japan with an American account in this situation either. Come on, Bungie! Please help us!
