*Takes a deep breath*
The reason why people complain about Destiny is because they have a perfectly good reason to complain. One and two playthroughs will tell you that there is a serious problem with this game and how unfair much of the concept, mechanics and details of the game is. PVP still remains much unbalanced with unbalanced weaponry but BUngie likes to screw over PvE players by permanently nerfing Exotics and Legendary from PvE play. Story makes no sense in fact there is no story whatsoever. ANd I feel our intelligence is being insulted by the very developers who crafted a masterpiece of story writing that is Halo from 1-ODST. (Not Including Reach because opinions and reasons but that's about it.) Why is it that we are given this graspless environment that fails to immerse me in a world that promises that I can be immersed in?
All these criticisms are valid and they raise very troubling thoughts. Even one look at the play-tester who posted that the game has been dramatically changed at the very last minute (despite people STILL doubting him even though there is merit to his arguments) confirms our very fears that Destiny is not the game it is made out to be. Its repulsive. Its boring. Its repetitive.
And yet people still try to blindly defend it. Why is it? I've been a Bungie Fanboy since day one of Halo yet I am not blind enough to force my perspective in a positive light on a game that wasn't what it was advertised to be in the past 2 (or 3) years. Destiny is hyped from the ground up and the only reason why we believed the hype because in our minds, the hype was real. Bungie couldn't have slacked off on a golden opportunity like this.
But they did. And that's where I start questioning a lot of things.
Despite everything that is wrong with it it is still defended. I bet even if Destiny dies way before the 2nd game comes out, people wills till needlessly defend it because muh feels or muh Bungie or Muh PS4. People who defend Destiny have a very very weak grasp of the problem at hand and with all proof and evidence and legitimate argumentative criticism that cites these flaws, they refuse to look at it. People who defend Destiny are die-hard PS4 fanboys who are trying to grasp on the one game that they feel will warrant their time and money spent on a game that will prove PS4 is superior mastur race than PC and Xbawx... The others are Bungie die-hards. This game isn't the pinnacle of the PS4's capability to produce a heavy quality game, nor is it the pinnacle of FPS or MMO. Its CoD with Borderlands mixed with colors to make it look like an innovative MMO when really it wasn't. 2 Years ago? I may have believed it. It probably wouldn't be AS BIG as today's version but it would be bigger, the content would matter, and so would the story.
This unnecessary condoning is whats killing quality in videogames (as does videogaming journalism but that's for another time.) PS4 isn't superior than Xbox one. In fact, its worse. Yes shoot me. But its true. Xbox one does suck but both of these games are not backwards compatible. Xbox One may have a lot more games than PS4 but both lack any quality games. Killzone SHadowfall and Far Cry 4 are the only games I believe are worth the price of my time and money. As does Infamous second son but only barely.
In fact, the WiiU is the dominant figure on the market. You may not think that because numbers but the time people spend on the WiiU, (in fact any Nintendo product in general) shows a lot more merchandise of respectable quality than Sony or Microsoft. Even its fanbase are pretty loose in a sense.
People are trying to find reasons to defend products that do not meet up to the quality or expectations that they are presented when they were shown the first time around. The game's a mess, and its only going to get worse. People will still defend it for nonsensical reasons. Activision will just continue to make money off of you and they don't care because they legitimately hate you for being a videogamer. They'd do anything to get at you the first chance they get and they profit off of benign fanboyism of the 11th degree.
