I guess I kinda have to agree. I mean I like the DLC...but it seems more like an $8.00 add on pack than a $20.00 expansion...I have faith though. If they truly are listening then make it right and give us more content. I was actually surprised we didn't get another planet or maybe a moon on Jupiter/Saturn...

One thing everyone should consider is no matter the semantics, Destiny is modeled as a mmo/fps. Big successful mmos like WoW charge their players a monthly subscription fee which helps them sustain a constant stream of revenue. Destiny went to the platforms where it is unheard of to pay a subscription to play a game. Players expect skyrim/WoW amounts of content and service while Bungie slowly bleeds money. 500 million IS a lot of money don't get me wrong, but the fact is they invested lots of time and money to produce the game. Also it seems like everyone believes developing Destiny cost Bungie 500 million but that is the budget for the totality of the project. Just some things to consider.

There are plenty of online games that don't have a monthly payment and have survived just fine, I'm mainly thinking of Diablo 2 and 3 here. Don't forget, there can be a constant revenue stream from new game purchases.

This is true however Diablo 3 was a great game. Destiny gets the worst reviews ever thus it deters customers and those on the fence about getting the game

Edited by Lord Yesua: 12/12/2014 1:28:49 AMThe amount they charge for the DLC 1 is equivalent to a three monthly subscription (higher than most). Ever Quest is £9 every three months and they are constantly adding new content. My Father has played it for 11 years!!! We paid £20 for three months on Destiny. I expect more content to reduce the mundaneness of the grind.

I want another planet and enough variety of gear that people can make unique distinguishable characters.

I agree and that was my view too... although big successful mmos like WoW also offer a lot more content. I was hoping that Destiny would grow into that, but the DLC being three rooms and a hallway suggest that we have all the Destiny we're likely to get, and it's not likely that we'll ever get a Destiny that's even close to other MMO games.

5 dollar mission map pack

I don't think we'll see new planets or spaces until Destiny 2. They are spreading the butter very thinly on our toast.
-
Well that's upsetting...I wish I could design my own expansion...

Brain storm your ideas and post them here. I'd like to hear them. I dunno about you, but I was looking for the engaging gameplay of Skyrim in space.
