Is the death penalty right or wrong?
When someone commits serious crimes, is it right to choose to make more life loss? Is getting the death penalty the easy way out? What do you think?
The death penalty is banned in many states and countries because they do not believe that the way to solve conflict is to shed more blood. They also thinks it's savage.
But the death penalty is legal in places too. This is because they believe that the only way to make the world a better place is to get rid of those who make it worse. Sometimes, even public death is legal to justice in it's purest form, an eye for an eye.
What do you think? Should your state/country endorse the death penalty? Why or why not?
I say legal, including public.

I feel like prison would be better for some people. Some people don't deserve death. Some people deserve FAR worse.

Equivalent exchange works here If you take someones life you should lose yours as well

I shouldn't have to explain what I mean by barbaric. We spend more money on lethal injection than making them waste away in a cell, providing them with adequate nutrition everyday, and allotting various amounts of "free time" for life. The law prohibits cruel and unusual punishment, but in what manner, in the eyes of the law, is ending their life not cruel? Why should their life cost more than a complete college education, just because they have to be comfortable when they die? I find it absolutely invigorating that it costs so much money to do what can be done with the pull of a trigger or the swing of a blade.

Only in the most severe cases.

I agree with that statement

It should be legal. Convicted murderers, rapists, pedophiles and drug dealers should all be sentenced to death. Death by gladiator fights. Why gladiatorial combat? Simple. If people pay to watch them fight to the death, the money can be used to fund and build additional prison complexes to house less serious offenders. Overcrowding is a serious problem facing prisons today. Gladiatorial matches are a win-win for everyone: Death row inmates die, we get entertainment, and prisons get a much needed boost to their funding.

An eye for an eye a man my go out and kill 3 people and only get 30 years

All deaths by the death penalty should be public executions
-
It should be illegal. I'm not against the actual death penalty for certain crimes, but innocent people are wrongly convicted and sent to death, along with it costing much, much more than life in prison, and extremely long wait times for the death penalty, at times up to a 30 year wait, so it could be seen as inhumane torture to people waiting for it.

I don't think they deserve death

Well, we do have quite the problem when it comes to prisons in America...
