1. You can no longer buy rep with materials
-- I DONT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT PVP AND YET!!!! I am no forced to actually pvp to get the gear (stat stack) that I want. Not only does this LIMIT the way you can gain gear, it limits your personal play option because you may HATE pvp.
2. (Faction)Commendations REQUIRED for purchasing Head/Chest gear
-- This is just a HUGE USELESS middle finger to your casual players. The guys that can't/don't put in redonkulous hours leveling Crucible/Vanguard are now locked out of gear. It may take any given person a few days OR A FEW MONTHS to get the new gear based on some shitty little mechanic that means absolutely NOTHING outside Bungie trying to 'pace the play.' This one earns you a big fat -blam!- you.
3. It is almost to the point that Raid weapons simply should never be allowed in PVP. There is no reason I should put half a clip into someones dome just to have the stand there like a moron and two tap me in the kneecap with [insert sh!tFux raid weapon]. PS I have no interest whatsoever in the damn raid. NONE. But I sure would like to know that I am not FORCED to fukking play through it just to get gear that matters.
Casual players go home, hardcore, at least you are rewarded for lacking a life, enjoy.

Better get used to the big blue weenie.
-
You have to take the game as it is, if you dont like pvp and hate playing it, destiny might not be for you.
-
I prefer the new system personally, but I honestly can't fathom why we can't have both options in place. I really don't see why they took it away.
-
If you're not planning on doing raids it is absolutely pointless to level up...
-
Agree with you. I and so many others have made posts with the same request. Having an alternative way to play that we actually enjoyed since DAY 1, was just removed for no good reason other than to force PvP and strike/raid grinding to obtain gear. They then added commendations to greatly increase grinding in those limited play lists. Just like all the hate for those asking for OPTIONAL matchmaking in all things, casual patrol players attract the same haters. For some reason grinding in patrol is a waste of time. Grinding in Destiny should only be allowed in PvP, strikes and raids. Doing this change is great for Destiny's long term survival, completely kill a play style some enjoyed. We never complained about OP weapons, PvP nerfs, strikes and raids. We were content with casual strolling which kept Destiny's player base up. So the haters want us gone or STFU if we don't grind in the other parts of the game. We will dabble in it, just not grind in it. How again does this HURT or impact the PvP, strike and raid grind lovers? IDK do you? Instead of the haters directing their hate to towards us, they should learn that keeping alternative ways people enjoyed Destiny was a good thing. More concurrent players will improve the possibility of new content. Less concurrent players will take resources away from supporting Destiny and adding new content so they can focus on Destiny 2. Less hate among players, more acceptance for others enjoyment in playing the game they way they like to play it.

1, the raid is pretty good. You should try it. I usually hate talking to people online, let alone trying to work with them. But most people i raid with are ok actually. Just a suggestion. 2. It's not just the casuals that are getting boned. Icebreaker, Truth, super good advice, thorn (2), invective, pocket infinity, the last word, plan c, bad juju, voidfangs, sunbreakers and 3 exotic helms i can't remember the names of. That's a list of my exotics before the update. Now if i want those to compare, i get to either get new ones or spend over 1/4 of my maximum money, along with a shard i get from DESTROYING one of these beauties. So while i understand where you're coming from, understand bungie is giving everyone the shaft

Doing the weekly strike and nightfall gives ample experience towards vanguard rank. The bounties for 2 days would easily finish off the rank. Doing patrols while doing the bounties that aren't patrol related also after nightfall produce even more points towards rep. Your argument is Invalid. Learn how to increase your means of gaining before crying over it

Your post: I hate PvP I hate the raid Give me everything the people that do play those get. U are missing 2/3s of the game by not doing either of those. This is of no ones fault but your own. Quit crying
-
Actually, I think they're pretty equal opportunity with their dicking.
-
Not lvling your faction doesn't make you casual. That makes you a lazy fck
-
So what kind of things should be available to us who do have redonkulous amounts of time to play?
-
I only agree with point 2. Point 1 is selfish. PVE is the primary place to get top tier weapons. Strange coins for xur, raid gear... All pve. Pvp players don't get that. Point 3 is misguided. All damage is normalized, so when you say "put 2 bullets in my kneecaps" I know you're lying. Clearly you're just bad at pvp.

Edited by GranPuya: 12/16/2014 12:12:32 AMUgh you is lazy... This will have you playing forever then
-
Play the game or leave. There is nothing you can do about it. Bungie doesn't care what you think it's their game. So conform or GTFO
-
I used to get kinda upset when people said if you don't like it don't play it, but I kinda agree with them now. I haven't played since October because of where the game was at and where it was headed...and I didn't like it. I stay active on the forums to some degree, but mainly just to keep up on what's going on. I also bought the DGE so I'm invested until House of Wolves. I guess I'm hoping against hope it will turn into the game I saw on the ViDoc's but it's becoming more and more apparent that isn't ever going to happen. I haven't missed playing this game at all and I have found other games that I do enjoy, not to mention I'm spending more time doing other things outside of gaming now because of the fiasco that was Destiny. It's kind of made me want to take a break from gaming in general. I'd recommend moving on to something that brings a little more joy in your life, this game obviously isn't working for you. And you know, that's ok really.

-Wants PvP Faction Gear -Doesn't want to PvP -Upset by Raid Weapons in PvP? Anyway, I think we can all agree that some 'interesting' decisions have been made regarding character progression. I believe that it makes sense that they removed the marks for materials trade-in, and I am kind of glad for it. Not that I want to limit anyone's experience, but you should have to play the PvP in order to get PvP gear. Regardless of what you intend to use it for, the Crucible is where it was intended to be used. Raid weapons really aren't that great in PvP. Or more specifically, they don't posses any perk that isn't available to any other weapon, they are just guaranteed to have a specific set. Other weapons can be, and usually are, better suited for the Crucible. Unless you're referring to the Mythoclast, in which case I have no comment. It's not as good as everyone complains about it being, end of story. I also find it curious that you would even take the time to complain about a game mode you "dont give a shit about." Raid gear only matters for the Raid and your light level, if you're concerned about that. But seeing as how you're not, you have no reason to feel cheated or forced to play the Raid for gear that ultimately won't improve your experience. Sure, the max level for weeklies and nightfall has been bumped to 30, but you can purchase vendor gear to help you cross that threshold. You'll just have to grind out the lower levels before you can tackle the challenge at the top.
-
Casual players have it easier than ever. You can be 31 in 2 weeks with no more than an hour of crucible or bounties a night, starting from level 1
-
Play PvP. Don't be scared.
-
So why'd you even buy the game if you don't play PvP or raid, your rant was undermined by your idiocy because of the "overpowered" raid weapons. Get over yourself and stop complaining
-
Casual, and stopped caring. Crap RNG, non existent story, unbalanced PvP, pay wall blocked content that was available with original purchase, non DLC buyers punished and near forced to buy DLC, 3 months work reset to 0, and the new EULA that they will use as an excuse to screw the player base. Is there reason to care?
-
This isnt a casual game you should have learned this a long time ago
-
This game really needs a Materials Vendor. He/she/it should buy/sell all types of materials. He/she/it should offer marks, commendations, motes, strange coins, etc. Destiny needs alternative ways to acquire items so we all can enjoy the game. Some Examples: 10 marks for 50 planet materials and opposite 100 planet materials for 1 commendation and opposite 30 marks for 1 strange coin and opposite 15 marks for 1 mote of light and opposite 50 armor material for 10 marks and opposite 20 marks for 1 ascendant energy and opposite 20 marks for 1 ascendant shard and opposite
-
/gives casuals an easy way to level 31, and allows them to buy exotics /casuals still complain it's too hard
-
Just relax buddy. Casual games are not this one But if you figure out how to level your character up fast it can turn into a casual game. I myself just hit Lvl 30 a week before the dlc came out. Now I'm 31 and have done the new raid. So 1 week after dlc the game has turned much more casual for me
