Anyone bought the payback sos yet??
Has anyone bought this yet.
Pondering whether to sink 150 marks into it. I liked shadow price but this has a much lower impact.

Edited by cmburch: 2/26/2015 10:32:02 PMI got it as a drop with radar. I wasted 18 shards in upgrading it. It is terrible. Normally only need to aim an autorifle once for an easy kill. This requires to be aimed twice for simple kills. Maybe with different perks it is acceptable, but with the active radar it is terrible to control versus other auto rifles and weak hitting. I got hard light as a engram. It is my favorite AR. Vangard ROC is the way to go. I am not buying anymore Vangard Armor or weapons when they are free as drops.

I maxed it and it's actualy pretty great... WHEN MAXED. Before it seems weak as piss. But after you put the experience and materials into it, it becomes a very viable and a good gun.

I accidentally bought payback, hit "A" by mistake, and presto, I bought it! Ugh. I had just maxed out Eidolon's Ally, and figured I wouldn't use it, but I got curious and maxed it out. I actually like it a lot so far. Low impact of course, but 84 rounds do a fair amount of damage. Once it's stabilized, it's easy to keep on target.

It's ok. Think I got 2 from drops. If you like Shadow Price I suggest Up for Anything from vanguard vendor. Pretty good.

1 ReplyI have it I didn't buy it I got it from a legendary engram. I have not maxed it yet but the stats look the same as atheon's without void damage and 6 less bullets.

Red dot ors1 highest zoom in class enhanced range, counter balance, field scout, agility or skip rounds. Third eye. Gonna be amazing with gunslingers trance

Never used an autorifle before (like high impact precision :-) this may be my first. High RoF + stability seems good. Is Vanquisher (new one) better?

Im planning on it. I think bungie learned its lesson the first time with the shadow price and that other gun. I think payback sos is slightly better

I got it from an engram. It literally is the atheon's epilogue without void damage. Once you get the stability upgrade, its amazing.

I got it in the nightfall with the counterbalance and thirdeye perks (awww yisss) Recoil is completely vertical making perfect balance useless if you know how to control recoil Since you don't need perfect balance you can choose a bigger mag with 20 more bullets A solid gun but would probably still use atheons epilogue or something like that

Bump I would like to know also! What's the same to the head with damage per kill perk and perfect balance
