Hey, the recommendations were a bad call.
I don't know how else to say it. Please remove the recommendation mechanic. It is a massively unnecessary hurdle that forces an even bigger unfair gap between new players and people who got the items easier before you implemented this.

4 RepliesThey are "commendations" and yes, they suck. But newer players have it easier, because if they're just starting out, they'll receive one every time they rank up with vanguard or crucible. It's harder to rank the higher up you are. Meaning like going from vanguard rank 4 to rank 5

They should at least honor out pre-DLC rank and honor the times we ranked the Vanguard up. Luckily for me my piece of Vanguard gear (you can see it on my Char) is from my nightfall strike run. I plan to buy some more (head piece or arms if I can afford) so that I can get a slightly higher light level to head into Crota's End again and finish. I was working at 30 with friends and we had fun and I got the chest piece. I plan to strengthen up and head back in for the whole set (at least what's available).

I agree, it's not exactly fair to those who were already here. I'd also like them to make the dlc cross platform like the game is. Otherwise, if you have two generations of the same console, you're going to have to pick one to buy the dlc with, or shell out $80 for the dlc on both. That's not really fair guys. It's not as though the profit margin on dlc is really slim.
