I play destiny constantly, with a plasma, don't have any hud burns on mine. Maybe I'm just not in one area (where the hud will show) for as long as you? I mean, I'm usually going to orbit and/or the tower after an activity, or I'm getting on the sparrow, etc, etc.
Do you sit at a location for prolonged periods of time or something? Or do you consider your activities as normal compared to other players?

Yes my playtime is normal. I raid a lot though.

Just did a quick search on your plasma... Looks like it's a more common problem with that particular version. People complaining about it and some other versions of that Panasonic plasma. Some folks say a proper burn in prevents it, others say that didn't matter. But lots of people are complaining about IR (image retention) on yours. Hope you can get it resolved though. Definitely sucks to have such a nice set only to have it practically ruined with IR.

Thank you for your interest. I had bought the model as soon as it was review by critic sites highly, if I had known of these issues I'd have went with a different model. I "broke in" the TV with slides for well over 250 hours, on top of hundreds of hours of general review before gaming. I played BF4 A LOT when it came out, but due to the HUD opacity slider I had zero problems, even with the screen set to a rather bright setting. Destiny on the other hand has a very solid, static HUD as you know, but due to having no issues before, I assumed the time of play where the HUD wasn't active would be enough.. It certainly sucks, big time..

I guess if you're in the raid for hours and hours at a time it could be enough to cause burn. Could be your particular plasma is more susceptible to it? It does suck for you though, hope you can get it worked out. I'll be keeping a closer eye on mine now so thanks at least for making the post. Again, hope yours can get worked out though.
