You can get a refund for the expansion > [http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/83678452/0/0]
This DLC was NOT worth $20. 3 missions, a strike that we can't play until Friday, a raid that we can only do on one difficulty until SOME time in January, and some new guns/armor. It only took my friend and I 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete all the missions, and the Playstation exclusive strike. We aren't even level 30. Now we get to wait until friday to buy "The Urn of Sacrifice" from Xur before we can do the new strike (Nightfall/Heroic).
In many other games, this would be just a regular update, not something we have to pay $20 for. I pre-ordered the Collectors Edition and went to the midnight release, so I got the Expansion Pass with everything. Had I purchased a regular copy of Destiny without the Expansion Pass and seen what this The Dark Below added, I would have NEVER wasted $20 on it.
I will be calling customer support tomorrow afternoon demanding a refund for this DLC.
[Edit] I pre-ordered my copy of Destiny (Collectors Edition), and got it at the midnight release. At this time, there was absolutely NO information as to the contents of The Dark Below nor any other future DLC. Since I purchased the Collectors Edition of the game, I received the Expansion Pass when I got the game (at the midnight release for those of you who can't keep up). So for those of you who keep commenting "the content of the DLC was available before it was released. you knew what you were buying", I clearly had no way of knowing what The Dark Below would include when I received my Expansion Pass.
So stop making these useless comments, you're only making yourself look like an idiot.
And for those of you who keep mentioning the Nightfall, stop. The strike has literally 0% to do with the point I'm trying to make. Those of you who can't seem to figure out my point in this (which seems to be a lot of you), my point is that for the content we received with this DLC, we shouldn't have had to pay for it. This is content that should have been in the game from the start, or it should have been given to us free of charge. The ONLY part of this Expansion that would be worth any sort of money would be the 3 Crucible maps, and those should have been a DLC of their own. This way, those of us who don't give a rats-ass about the Crucible wouldn't have to pay for something we don't want.

Buyer beware is the general rule when you are buying things in the U.S. you can only get your money back if the item is faulty or it was false advertisement. You decide to buy it before they announced what was in it.
-
The only one that looks like an idiot here is you. people that come here whining and crying about a video game are the idiots. If you don't like it then just quit. Go through the proper channels and try to get your money back. Cry to your momma because no one here wants to hear your tears. Now go back to your basement kid because being outside might hurt your eyes.

Tough

Buyers remorse?

"In many other games, this would be just a regular update, not something we have to pay $20 for." Name 5.
-
I played the will of Crota strike last night...
-
Sell your game
-
I want my forums back
-
TLDR. This more than you'll ever see from a COD
-
Lol just complete the Eris quest line and you can do the night fall and heroic. You don't have to wait for xur to do the weeklys.
-
It's amazing how many of you are willing to defend something that's greatly overpriced. I'm not complaining about the content, I'm complaining about the fact that Bungie made us pay for it at all, let alone $20, $35 for those with the Expansion Pass.
-
If you'd actually bothered to play through the content you bought (which you clearly haven't because then you'd know this), finishing the Eris bounties (except the Xur one) opens up the strike/weekly/nightfall.
-
You can say what you want about preordering the content but don't come on here now bitching about it. We have known for a long time what was included with this DLC. And you want to get your money back now? You knew weeks ago there would be a few missions and a strike, if that wasn't enough how about you ask for money back before you played through the content? No, you'll play it, beat it, then return it. Only one that looks stupid here is you.
-
just kill the 25 knights/priest and you get access to the extra 3 quests to get weekly/nightfall right away
-
No actually if you go to manage game you see all the dlc content you buy with info and what day it comes out.
-
Agree
-
I have completed the nightfall twice.
-
Play more TDB, less crying about it. You'll be able to play the strikes. You'll thank me and the other people that mentioned this later.
-
I feel like this is more a weekly event than an expansion pack. Aside from the raid this DLC is pathetic and hardly an expansion pack.
-
I feel you on the story missions if you can call them that.. NO STORY AT ALL! Just a couple of lines of dialogue and basically go kill everything and not even a single cut-scene or character development or anything just extremely poor. That said, the strikes were good and I enjoyed Undying Mind also. The nightfall unlocks you just need to complete a bunch of Eris missions to get to it. Bungie has legitimately shown they in no way know how to cultivate characters, story or interesting plot lines.
-
This is true, for the amount of content, it is absolutely overpriced and I am disappointed on that level. Ten dollars, maybe 12 tops would be fair imo.
-
Bet you didn't bitch when halo 3's shit cane out.
-
Try lvl 30 hard not 26
-
Too bad.
-
Okay, bye. We totally care, it's not like we saw posts like this...

Edited by UnleashedArcher: 12/10/2014 3:28:35 PMThis post is invalid. You should have known that buying the DLC or season pass would at Minimal be 3 or 4 Multiplayer maps. No one knew there was going to be story content or whatever ( when first released) . Do you get mad at BF4 when they give you 3 maps for 15$ or COD? Pre-buying anything is a gamble, sometimes you win and sometimes you bust. Suck it up.
