Expansion revenue pays for development of the next dlc or even "free" content. It has to be paid for somewhere. The initial 60 bucks you paid for the game can only be stretched so far. Hell if it meant more content, id pay a subscription fee.
Now with that said, the value on what we have paid vs what we have been given is a bit disappointing. If the relative amount of content doesn't improve, that could be something that's drives me away from the game. But free content? There is no such thing as "free content". Economic 101.

I have a bunch if free content on my xbox. I got it from something called games for gold. Two free games every month. I call that free content
-
That has no bearing on the conversation. Xbox still pays the developers for that content, although I doubt it's very much.

Nonsense. The witcher offers free content all the time with their games. So do multiple others. This is a cash grab, plain and simple. You can be ok with paying it, but at least don't let Bungie piss down your back and tell you it's raining.

Assassins creed unity was bad at release but not nearly as bad as destiny was. Ubisoft offered everyone a free DLC and an entire free game including the crew and far cry 4. Why shouldn't we be entitled to free content? Not to mention bungie signed a 10 year 4 game contract with Activision, they are completely funding bungie. Regardless of sales bungie gets money to make content. Do your research before you make dumb ass comments.
