I was doing the "complete strike without dying" bounty once, and one of our group members just rode around on his sparrow the whole time avoiding participation. I assume he was doing the same bounty. I didn't care too much, but as we were headed to Sepiks Prime I pointed at him, and so he slammed into me with his sparrow from behind, which killed me. So not only did he not participate, but to add insult to injury, he was able to kill me with with his sparrow. Kinda lame that game mechanics allow that, and that I have no recourse whatsoever.
I looked at the strike stats later, and saw that the other guy who was in the strike (who was actually helping) must have left, but the jerk on his sparrow simply waited until two new people were thrown into the strike to complete it for him.
I'm not sure what Bungie could do, honestly. Perhaps allow a strike rating system based on kills/assists over time so that people like that get grouped together.

I laughed a little too hard at this

Hahahahahahahahaha the part where dude killed you with his sparrow is comedy. Bet you went straight to orbit after
-
Yeah definitely. I had to smile. I thought it was pretty clever...but I don't treat people that way so I never would have thought to do that to another player in the first place.

match making by kill count is a brilliant idea...

I like that idea. What you got zero kills on your last couple strikes? Have fun getting put in a group where everyone is playing like that.
