Same situation. Have assisted upon request a few times but never completed.

Its boring, scripted and made artificially hard. Depending on the team, it can take quite some time and you're just going in circles trying to do that one task, having a wipe and repeating it all over again. Given the limited time I have to play the game, I much rather spend that time shooting fellow guardians in the face :)
