Hey Everyone. vVvDARK WOLFvVv here. I really hate having to make posts like this, especially since people want to dismiss it as hate. But I will try to keep this concise. Bottom line. I think its is very... Counter productive to make us have to lose all of our progress on our exotics to make them a viable option in PVE with the upcoming DLC... It's one thing to have us paying for the upgrades to begin with. I can live with paying for an upgrade. But upgrading exotics, is not something that happens quickly. I have two fully upgraded exotic weapons and two more that i am on the final damage upgrades on, as well as a total of 2 fully upgraded exotic armors and one that i am on the final defense upgrades. It is not only counter productive, but it is unfair to your player base to effectively force them to have to reset everything on their weapon just for the sake of upgrading a stupid attack rating or defense rating. if you want us to pay an amount of strange coins/motes of light to upgrade our already upgraded exotics. fine. I can live with that. but don't make us go through the HOURS or even DAYS of grinding we had to do to get our exotics to where they are now in the first place. It makes the time we spent upgrading our exotics feel wasted in the worst possible way. and I have been playing since day 1. so I have spent more than a month of my life investing time in your game Bungie, and now you are just going to throw it away? I am sorry, but I am not OK with that. And don't tell me that these "upgrades" if you can even call them that are optional. Because they really aren't. There will come a point that our hard earned exotics will become obsolete unless we choose to upgrade them. And honestly, I happen to LIKE my Thorn, I LIKE my Ice Breaker, I LIKE my "The Last Word", I LIKE my Patience and Time. I LIKE MY MASK OF THE THIRD MAN! And you are just going to sit there and force us to submit more of our time to your game by resetting everything? Are you out of your gorram minds? EDIT: I think a good way to deal with the upgrade is to reset the ATTACK/DEFENSE RATING nodes. but keep all of the ABILITY nodes (E.G. reset all the Thorn's Attack Rating nodes. but let it keep its mark of the devourer, send it, etc.) I know that there are others out there that agree with me on this. Don't start pushing away your most loyal fans Bungie. But I will let the community speak for itself. Vote in the poll guys! As always any and all feedback is appreciated. See Y'all Starside!
