C'MON BUNGIE, WHY DO ALL OF OUR GUARDIANS HAVE TO LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME
Because we're all their pawns
but seriously, Bungie, why has nobody come up with the ideal to have upgrade material(s) that allow us to upgrade which ever piece of armor we want instead of having to hope RNG drops us armor with higher light? This way, there aren't a million hunters/warlocks/titans that all look exactly the same! We could take some rare or legendary boots we like and upgrade them so they actually help us and not hinder us! Same thing with any piece of armor, if I really hate your sh!tty designs for Hunter Helmets, why do I have to wear one? I could just upgrade my more simply designed legendary instead of having to wear your atrocious works of... art? You could even make the upgrade materials only available through the raid, that way we still have to take place in it, just the RNG is a lot less important. I don't see why it's a negative thing to NOT want to look like every hunter there is in the game!!! Come on Bungie, this is an easy fix and will make a lot of people happy to not be forced into wearing one piece of armor and thus making our past armor obsolete. I would love to NOT have to wear the ugly Lucky Raspberry anymore and instead wear a regular chest plate of my choosing! COME ON BUNGIE!!
