Title says it all, normally when people whine and moan on the forums about stuff you seem to listen to them and make the changes that are being cried for to shut them up.
Please don't crumble under pressure this time and change the way Exotics are going to work with new DLC. I and many others think it's a good idea and it only seems to be the usual suspects on the forums that are moaning (lazy Xurners that want everything given to them on a plate)
That is all.
Cheers, Chingy
EDIT1 :
Right I'm not sure if what im about to say is correct but please do correct me if im wrong.
"Starting December 9th, Xûr will offer players the opportunity to upgrade Exotics to the higher Attack and Defense values
Upgrading an Exotic in this way will require an Exotic Shard
The upgrade will reset the progression invested into the item
Each week, Xûr will possess a selection of upgrades for existing Exotics in his inventory"
So if you decide to upgrade your exotic weapon so that you can take the damage on it further, it will then be reset if I'm correct?
also I don't see where it says "ALL EXOTICS WILL BE RESET AS SOON AS DLC LAUNCHES"
It's offering you a choice, if you want to make your weapon uber, you have to have it reset and then work on it again to make it uber good.
as I said above, If I'm wrong please correct me.
Edit2:
"From pictures I've seen the new base for exotics is 302, so you lose the the upgrades but still have a high attack gun"
Quoted from Reddit ^^
Apparently when you buy the upgrade for your exotic Weapon, It will be upgraded to 302 damage, then you have to put XP into it to get it up to 331 damage. It doesn't get reset right down to 272 like everyone seems to think.
Apparntly When you buy the Upgrade for

Agreed

Edited by Jampire: 12/4/2014 4:13:59 AMFrom what I've seen (minus a few retards) everyone knows the reset is optional. But of course everyone is going to want to continue their journey with their exotics. If I want my weapons and armor to stay relevant with the level curve moving forward, then resetting my exotics is now a necessity, not an option. I don't understand how someone could be for this? Also, why would you care if Bungie reversed the decision? Do you really want to re-level your exotics? Cause it's quite clear approximately 85% of people don't.

This +1 .. Glad I was able to find some one the forums that isn't complaining about exotic reset.. Thank you

Shut up maggot, some of us will like to focus on the new content rather then leveling up old weapons we already leveled
-
I've been fine with all updates so far but this one is bullshit
-
sighs...gets out the tow chain..wraps it around Chingys legs...and pulls his head back out of bungies rear... there ya go man,i know you were farming for bungie props, but i was scared you might suffocate because you were so far up in there.....

Yes it's optional, good point. The thing is, why would you not upgrade? That would be downright dumb. People just become too invested in their gear and the time and effort that went into leveling them should not be dismissed so easily. For them to say that we absolutely have to reset our gear to get the maximum effects is a bit of a slap in the face. I think it would have gone better if after the upgrade, new nodes were unlocked. The last patch was kind of great, if a weapon wasn't fully leveled but the nodes that had been unlocked were available, you could perform the upgrade. The new damage attributes were there for the Vex for example. Why couldn't that have been done for all the exotics in our possession?RNG had already blessed us by that point, why punish us? If a couple of more nodes had become available to level it up I would not have batted an eye. It is after all an exotic. Now what I'm wondering is this, after the reset at what damage, defense and light level will our exotics start out at?

You're in the minority so do you understand what a democracy is and what it means for the minority? Despite the fact that you like it overall it's a step back from the game it's not an improvement to the current system and that's not an opinion it's a fact. Requiring people to reset their gear to be more formidable going forward is like I said a step back this whole proposal is nothing more than Bungie's way to get people to dump more time into the game because they lack actual content to keep us playing that's it that's all it is literally the ONLY reason for them to go this route instead of simply adding another upgrade node on the tree.
-
It is only the illusion of choice. If anyone wants to be useful in the new raid they will have to upgrade their old weapons (because even I, an ordinary man, can tell Bungie will be hard pressed to come up with any new weapons that will rival the demand for Icebreaker and Gjallarhorn) using the new system, something that could be avoided altogether if the developers knew they could release enough new content to replace the old. They can't, so they're doing something that lets them fall back on what they already have and also results in artificially extending game time. Yay for doing the same thing you already did! Again!
-
What doesn't make sense to me is the route to upgrading that they chose to go with. Couldn't they just add a node on the upgrade tree and make us go to Xûr or the new raid for the necessary upgrade items? Why does my Patience and Time somehow lose its abilities because I want to make it stronger? That logic burns holes in my brain.
-
The fact is, we worked hard to max out our guns, then we have to RESTART our whole progress to take it higher is irritating. Why not just add extra branches to continue progress? There are other solutions but they decide they want to -blam!- us in the asshole and make us restart in order to increase.
-
Jeez, Bungie can't do anything without a bunch of people complaining about it. Deej must have the worst job ever, besides flippin' burgers.
-
Like, like, likety-like!! Don't give in Bungie! Make your game the way you see fit. The more you cater to these whiners, the more they will whine. Then you end up with a watered down, crowd sourced game that you can no longer call your own and take pride in.
-
Sunbreakers and voidfang vestments will probably be upgradable in the first week.Since they are always in his inventory, get it? :D
But seriously, spending time to re-level and exotic doesnt seem that productive
-
I'm not really sure Bungie listens to anything. They don't really seem to care what the people playing the game think. "Oh they seem to like that? Take it away!" "They are asking for this? Give them half of what they want but take away 5 other things they love."
-
You lost all credibility when you used xurner in a derogatory manner.
-
By xur news I'm sure you mean people that buy ANYTHING from xur right? Have you never bought anything from xur before. I have over 20 exotic weapons only bought 3-4 I don't care about the purchasing. I only care about the resetting of the exp. Why would I want to grind exp materials and glimmer and then another exotic shard for a weapon I already maxed.
-
Edited by Hale24044: 12/4/2014 12:20:37 AMNoooo we will HAVE to use XUR to get the buff which will cost strange coins so yeah we are all xurners know and if we grinded played for straight hours to upgrade our gear all the way will all be for NOTHING and we will have to either delete an exotic or buy it from XUR for 7 strange coins tell me how this is fair Edit: I see your fully upgraded exotics in your profile now delete all the upgrades and do it ALL again but this time you need to waste strange coins on your weapon/armor to be able to do it again. We also NEVER asked for this and if you have playstation exclusives HA you're never going to get that upgrade since it would have to be for both consoles!!!!!!!

Do you even know what is happening
-
The exotic thing is crazy. They just put all the time into leveling up exotics down the toilet... That is lame.
