Bye!
Seriously, leave. You complain about grind in a grinding game. This wont change. This is it. Its not going to become this magical open world rpg you want.
Accept it, and you will be fine.
Bye.
Edit:
Just to clear things up - No, I don't have dumb.
Edit 2:
Here is a suggestion, that all you consumed by the darkness guardians will surely love:
Since we all have already level up a weapon, Bungie should let us use that same exp to level up another weapon! Why should you level up more weapons from the start?! It takes DAYS to level up a single weapon all the time.
Edit 3:
It's been three months since Destiny came. Yet some people still can't forget about the promised version. They complain and cry and hate - yet still play. And these same people call me a b itch? That I am bending over for anything? Now THAT, ladies and gents - is rich.
-
#shutupjuice ... I can't help but think there is a Holocaust joke in there somewhere.
-
Your bungies bitch, bitch.
-
Totally agree. Bye whiny, crybaby bitches. I'm sorry your parents only gave you money for one game.
-
And for everyone leaving that got the digital DL and won't get shit for a refund...leave it on your HDD and when they allow trading just leave me all your loot and glimmer!! Have fun playing whatever other garbage IP that launched this year!!! 2014 "the year of fail games!!"
-
Edited by NinjaCoby: 12/5/2014 12:06:21 PMFor Edit #2, Don't use "concerned Guardians" when every human that is complaining has been consumed by the Darkness already.
-
whose b itch r u?
-
It would be fine if I didn't spend X amount of dollars on the Guardian edition. I feel that bungee really pulled a bait and switch here. promised one game they deliver a different product, no point in selling since I'm already out the extra money for the extra expansion packs. I'm already only playing the game maybe 15 minutes a day just to try and get a few shards here and there are getting a few items completed. I was really hoping this new expansion will make things better but an honest I'm not convinced.
-
You do realize if everyone leaves, you'll have no one to play with. You forget that this is an online game. Pushing people away is an asinine thing to do.
-
My only correction is, "it will not become this open world RPG that WE WERE PROMISED IT WOULD BE." That's all. It's lovely to see how a community wishes to thrive by expelling people from the community.

Edited by Erijian: 12/4/2014 8:19:51 AMNo MMO has ever implemented a system like this before, they're taking a shot in the dark similar to how Call of Duty's prestige system works and implementing it to a game in which that type of system has no place. The thing is, in Call of Duty, all Prestiging did was give you bragging rights and was completely optional in the way that it never truly impacted the game, but in this game it seems like it's mandatory if you want the gear you've probably already put time into to stay relevant, and on top of that the players that have put no effort into the Exotics get the same treatment as the players who maxed them do. That's what puts such a bad taste in my mouth over this decision.
-
Its not going to become this magical open world rpg you want.
Sadly Bungie said it was open world. They also said each planet was larger than the entirety of Halo: Reach. They also said... you know what? It's easier to list what they didn't lie about. ... um, give me a few years to think about that one...
-
"Not at all. Do you guys ever get tired of us insisting it's not an MMO? Debate about this game is always fun, and we welcome it," Bungie said. "The ideas that are shaping Destiny come from a lot of different places. We're drawing the best elements from experiences we love. Like an MMO, our game will compel you to explore." "You'll embody a character that evolves on that journey. Unlike an MMO, the entire experience is built around heart-pounding action that you'll see through the eyes of your hero," Bungie went on. "Ultimately, we're looking forward to knowing how you describe Destiny, once you've played it." Accept what? That they have an open forum where players from all over the world can come in and share stories, art and even grievances. Here is the hole in your argument. This game was marketed as a "shared world" experience. The amount of ViDoc from early in development clearly lead many of us to believe the game would be drastically different. With that being said, yes I am still playing despite some pretty heavy and reasonable grievances most of which have been patched out. My problem with people like you in particular is that you lack the knowledge of what this company was/is capable of. They pretty much built the fanbase for the original xbox. It was fresh, ground breaking, with a not too shabby story I might add. What happened to that? On this forum there is a lot of whining and nerf chat. I could see maybe taking a crack at that, but the player base that hates the grind and mmo-ish elements, give me a break. A first person game with element farming, I feel like I am picking strawberries in grannies garden NOT being the hero this game wanted neigh NEEDED me to be....Thanks immersion.... What is the success rate on most mmos? You do know you can track 90% of their gameplay and features up a family tree right? Just a bunch of rehashed rehashes with new-old features and improved graphics. Lastly, who the hell is anyone to tell anyone else to trade in a game they paid for, at a loss I might add, simply because they like the fact that this game is like that other game they loved so much or vice versa. I'm sure the elitist nonsense you spill is fine on Warcraft or rune-scape or whatever it is you are comparing your experience to, but here everyone has a voice and you can simply filter that voice out if you want or not. Now if you want to have an adult conversation about how we got to this point as a community, myself included. I am willing to have that talk. MY .02: There is no grind in game. There is grind in work. I don't mind the grind if its fun, but the grind in destiny is lacking. Kill the dregs run up the stairs... I literally have lines of dialogue from the intro to strikes memorized. And for all the times I have "crippled" the fallen they sure do bounce back. It's like I am stuck in groundhog day...Resetting my weapons wouldn't bother me much if there were more variety in the strike playlists. I don't mind crucible but why only play half the game. I mean this isn't call of duty is it? Crap single player but phenomenal multiplayer.
-
To render weapons useless after 3 months is ridicilous really! Played enough mmos to know those big changes are anounced way before update and atleast 1 year or longer before it happens this is just BS 3 month invest time for nothing rrally

We'll leave soon if this is the way the game goes. It may be a grinding game. But thats what's keeping it alive. And the concept of even harder with slightly more content. Just makes me feel to leave when the second DLC comes (certainly not an expansion) i can't handle stupidity that much. When i leave i go for good. Won't come back due to being underpowered. Many have the same thought. If this goes through they really won't do well on a sequel. No way it would survive. I don't hate this game but incompetence is all its became. I can't stay with a game that goes with this direction. Many can't either. And the HYPE won't work twice. And will fail epically if the DLC fails. I know enough to say this. Stop agreeing with bungie. You have a brain so use it.
-
Lol, its fine. You guys left behind will be kings of a game nobody plays anymore. Like Warframe. Standing together in the tower looking at your shiny armour and wondering how much of your life you've wasted. I'm off enjoying Far Cry 4 at the moment, having amazing PvE fun, while you force yourself to do the tiger strike one more time. Ha Ha ;-)

Edited by Mayhem_Jonah: 12/5/2014 9:09:56 AMInteresting point; those who take the time to write an articulate complaint about an issue tend to have strong feelings about it. People who have strong feelings about something care for it. People taking the time to critique the issue sensibly want to improve this game. Dick weeds who shout "fine then! Bye! Leave already, we don't want you here!" Do not add constructively to anything, in fact they are toxic. You, sir, are toxic. Perhaps you could better spend your time helping address issues with this game or offering constructive ideas rather than being a blind and ignorant twat.

Edited by z3473501: 12/4/2014 7:24:55 AMYou do realise that the complaints are on a much larger scale, right? I've never seen the need to complain about any nerf, buff, bug or error code until now. This is the kind of bad update that will definitely get some people to leave. When people see that less of their friends are playing, they'll eventually stop too. When it reaches that point, all it'll take is the next AC, COD, Halo, etc to cause a mass exodus from Destiny. Bungie however, is smarter than you. I'm confident they'll change it and you'll be thanking us "whiners" when you realise that you don't have to relevel your weapons again.
-
Read the back of the case. Activision has the right to cancel the servers and online services if the Destiny Population is low. It's not a good thing if to many people leave.
-
They're the same people whining about voice chat and all that ish whiners continue to whine
-
Yes, lets pretend that people quitting this game is a good thing. Im sure bungie will keep this game going with a minimal population.
-
You want people to leave so this game stops earning money? Is that what your saying?
-
This isn't satire, it's the truth. And as we've seen from recent nerf posts, they can't handle the truth.

AYYYYY TOMERU

No one cares about the grind, people are angry that their previous grind is all but wasted. There is NO reason Bungie couldn't implement one of the many ideas that have sprouted up since this announcement.
