Anybody want like an infinite survival mode, and the higher you go the better chance for reward? Gear, guns, etc.
Edit*
Every specified amount if waves a boss could appear.
Even further when challenges appear you can bonus and can possibly add to your chance percentage of getting gear.
Edit*
What do you guys think some cool challenges would be? For example
Wave 5 challenge: use only snipers
Wave 8 challenge: do not miss one shot
Wave 9 challenge: do not scope in with any weapon.
Each challenge can be random, not specified to a particular wave, however there will not be challenges each wave. Which waves have a challenge should be randomized as well.

Sounds fun

Yes yes yes yes yes make this a thing!

these types of topics should be at the very TOP of the entire community list of things to be added in the game imo survival mode is something that when i look at this game i think how did they Not include survival?

Like gears of war?

-
no, keep this in COD.

I feel like CoD is in there somewhere. But if it does get implemented, (I hope it does, honestly.) One of the maps would be the Tower itself. You know how -blam!-ing fun that would be? Shooting waves of Rahools in the face? I'd throw money at Bungie that they already took from me for that idea.
-
sounds like more of a call of duty game mode :o
-
Yay bump yes bungie make happen please x)
-
Doesn't really make sense.

Yes! And it should be called Deep Stone! In Ghost Fragment: Legends, Deep Stone is a place where EXOs go in dreams where they must kill everyone they've ever met. Most have never killed everyone and got to the tower in the dream, and I think the lore would fit perfectly with this type of game mode.
-
I'm normally for it in shooters for a Co op experience, just don't think this game needs since we have strikes and raids :/

Yay Yay Yay Yay

Yes survival mode. Everyone starts with a level 1 auto rifle. As you kill enemies an complete waves, your gun levels up. At the end of a round, you can use points to buy perks for your gun. There would be a trade-off between buying a perk now to upgrade it or saving points to buy a stronger perk.

well id like that but they would have to make the gear the same as raid gear. there will be no point going in for a 27 light gear when vog is 30. i mean if its like gear u can only get from there then sure. like a new exotic piece for reaching and beating wave 10. the award has to be just as good as the top gear or so rare it only can be recieved from there
-
sounds great
-
Yes I want survival I don't care how repetitive it is because I will play it over and over again till I take the leader boards top 100!!!
-
Fûck yay
-
That could be fun. If they make you use different weapons for circumstances. Could be another ave to acendant materials or strange coins.

Edited by OHIMGONEGETCHA: 12/6/2014 6:30:42 PMI'm thinking more along the lines of Gears of War 2 Horde mode. They did it the best No gimmicks. No lame cap points. No lame challenges. No nothing. Just your guns and 50 waves of enemies that increase in difficulty. GoW2 horde mode will make a man out of ya.

I doubt Bungie would give us that, but it's nice to fantasize. Instead of Challenges, I would design it so that every third wave features a random modifier, i.e; Wave Three implements Juggler; watch your ammo, Wave Six implements Angry, and so on. Every third round past nine would incorporate two modifiers, i.e; Wave Twelve implements Juggler and Angry, Fifteen implements Lightswitch and Arc Burn, watch those Dreg. As you progress, each new set of "Waves" adds a modifier, until you hit a wave that features every single modifier. At this point, if your Fireteam hasn't already been wiped out, the game would give you a random Exotic and the Guardians in the Tower would erect a statue to immortalize your accomplishment.

yes but the challenges are a no

You have to understand that for this to work, it would have to be like the raid. Which means NO experience points for killing enemies. Reasoning is because people would just keep running through this over and over getting everything maxed in a few short hours. Only ultras would give you glimmer. Again, people would just use it to max their currency out. I for one love the idea. Endless waves of drop ships, and more than just 3 when only one drops enemies. I say 5 fly in at randoms spots dropping enemies. Wave after wave it gets harder. Enemies are stronger, they become faster. With ever 5-10 rounds being a boss modifier. Drops a walker in, or a nexus mind, Ect...With again, every boss round comes with modifiers like light switch and solar burn. If all 3-6 members of your team go down, it's the end. Return to orbit. Anyone who says no do some form of survival mode is pretty stupid. If you don't like it you never have to play it. And nobody playing it gets an advantage over anyone else. It's simply a fun game mode. No gear drops or weapon drops at the end. If you give people weapon and gear drops a lot would stop playing the normal game and Bungie wouldn't allow that. So simply make it pure entertainment purposes. You're bored doing the same missions and strikes? Hop on survival mode with some friends and kill time in an arena style match up. Saying "this is dumb" or "leave this shit for CoD" is stupid, another game mode in a game that already heavily lacks depth is never a bad thing. Too bad I do not see Bungie doing this at all. I'd even pay for an expansion of they offered this. 5-10 bucks for 3-5 arena maps of survival, I wouldn't mind it. I love this game but other than the raid, it's unbelievably boring.
