All because of the templar fix.
Unless you have an experienced raid team and good weapons the hard mode raid is an excruciatingly painful experience.
Templar is easily the hardest part of the raid. Without the cheese my raid team and I get stuck at templar for hours sometimes. We never cheesed atheon or NM Templar. We only cheesed HM templar to get to the rest of the raid without wanting to throw our ps4s out the window.
The hard raid is no longer worth it imo.
Hopefully bungie get things right with crotas end.
Edit: What I'm trying to say is that HM templar is harder than it should be and sometimes causes so much frustration that I would rather not do the raid at all. I have beat HM templar many times legit. Just sharing my opinion about the fight.
Edit: Didn't think this would cause such a stir.
Reading through the responses has made me realize how toxic this community is.
Apperently opinions aren't welcome here.
Though I did see some light in the darkness.
IE. people respecting my opinion even if they disagreed
Edit: I want to make it clear that I don't like to cheese or ever relied on the cheese. My raid Team and I are very experienced in the VoG and have beat HM templar many times. I just feel templar needs a little tweeking.
If you think I'm just a scrub and I should "get gud" then that's your opinion and I will respect it.

still easy bro... just have your team stay up top, send one person to get the shield and run around killing oracles/ getting templars shield down. then they shoot the oracles/templar. BLAM easy money... only need one good shield guy.
-
I got the mythoclast from the raid today, so that made it worth it. But I do see your point, it's now way way harder than atheon and quite painful with a difficult team. Even one weak link and no chance. I'd say they may extend the time before enrage in a future update.

It takes like 5min to beat him wtf? Pushing him actually took longer. Prevent his teleports to keep his shields down and you'll kill him fast.

Edited by keefyboooo: 12/3/2014 9:44:01 AMI dont think the Templar is harder, I think most people just forgot how to do it legit. Im definitely one of those people! We managed to fairly quickly figure out our strategy though. 1 thing I did notice was that he seems to be a huge sponge compared with Atheon. I know the Times Vengeance makes a huge difference, but maybe something like that on the Templar would make it easier Im not suggesting it is changed, I did it fine. Just pointing out that he seems to absorb alot more damage than I expected. I like my bosses to be hard, not just sponge

You are definitely right that some members... some... can be extremely toxic and unsupportive. I'm ok w the fix although I'll admit that the Templar was the most challenging part last night. Np on normal. Frustrating on hard. My team left it and did entire NM in 38 minutes. Will try to finish hard tonight. Will figure it out although it sure was tough.
-
Yeah, my group has done it legit, but it's just no fun. Way too hard for so little reward. The mid boss in a raid should not be harder then the final boss. They need to tone something down in the templar fight.

-
Templar is easier then oracles
-
fyi hard mode means its gonna get hard, bro! hardcore and dedicated players enjoy the challenge. finally we can start to see a much needed skill gap
-
+10 Cheesy Guardian Tears.
-
I don't have time to complain about why I don't have time to complain.
-
You and your team, simply are not good enough. Me and my team had a blast doing the templar and afterwards we universally agreed that doing the templar on hard was THE MOST FUN WE HAD EVER HAD ON THE RAID, it is hard yes, but did you know it is called HARD MODE for a reason?
-
That patch on the Templar was actually a noob detector!!
-
Leave it. You do know it's the HARD raid right? So its meant to be a -blam!-ing challenge. Yeah its a bitch to get through but thats how it should be!! With all the cheese's and bullshit people seem to forget that the hard raid is the highest level activity in the game right now so it should be a -blam!-ing challenge. Not something you can fly through in 30 minutes and get the best gear in the damn game. Man up, pop a heavy ammo synth, and kick that templars ass like you're suppose to!!!!
-
He like a bullet sponge I just do the last part now lol
-
He seems to teleport faster now. But its otherwise a question of DPS. Just hit him hard, don't let up. .
-
hahahahahahaha just leave hahahahaha go glitch full raud cos u suck dude
-
Although its frustrating for you, this is how the raid was supposed to be: for legitimate, well organized groups. Its not supposed to be easy peasy loot. Back in vanilla WoW, you would keep attempting a boss for hours, maybe not even down him that night only to try him again the next night. It took perseverance. I could care less if you are a "casual" if that is what people are calling each other these days, but this is by design. Many people new to MMO mechanics don't understand the logic behind this, but the point is good loot for good players. I think they kind of flubbed that with VoG because of their flaws in the raid design (all of the cheeses), but I'm hoping Crota will actually be challenging because exotic loot is supposed to be exotic, not 80% of people walking around with a raid weapon.
-
Hey guys, atheon was a real pain in the ass to kill on hard mode legitimately after they patched him for a lot of us. Took a little practice. But then, 3 or 4 raids later you had it down, right? Give it a few more attempts. Everyone will get better at it
-
I love all the people being dicks. Half of them saying they did it legit are liars. The ones saying people like you are "fake" 30's are no life try hards. There's no reason to be a little asshole about it. My advice is to just keep trying new things. Me and my guys do it legit and now that we have a few 30's we ourselves will be starting to run it hard. Best of luck mate.

Confluxes are harder than the boss itself

Edited by achwassolls: 12/3/2014 8:32:10 AMthen let the relic holder (sunsinger) stay down and kill the harpies while the rest sits on top at the spawn points and shoots oracles and Minions and unleash on the templar when his shield is broken.
-
Edited by DEZARATH: 12/3/2014 8:28:57 AMNever say its difficult on these forums. You say you beat it and got everything you wanted. Suck on that A-holes. Then go play another game that is actually fun. Come back later and say how you pwn 30s in the crucible and the Suros Nerf hasn't done a thing to your killing scrubs who think they are elite. Then watch Netflix and smile at all the outraged responses from the pansy boys who dine on these updates and the tears they create.
-
That's what happens when you guys cheat over and over for 2 months.

Edited by Psyko_Dad: 12/3/2014 7:54:36 AMIt's pretty easy. Just don't have everybody running all over the place. Stick together in the back of the area (the side of the 'hidden' orcacles) and just move left/right/centre on that side. You have enough firepower to defend eachother from the harpies and you can hit all oracles. Or just have everybody sniping at the boss like most do with the oracles and have 1 player down there with the relic. This is what you get with all the lvl 30 elitism. Suddenly, some of em suck when cheesing gets fixed. Smh
-
It's not that hard really. One relic holder goes down, everyone else stays up. Relic holder kills everything, supers templar, hides, rinse and repeat. Those up top let relic holder know of the templar's new location. Bladedancer works really well for the relic holder, he can hide and sneak up on harpies, and invis to avoid templar aggro when positioning for super. Everyone else throws rockets and snipes.
