HM VoG isnt fun anymore
All because of the templar fix.
Unless you have an experienced raid team and good weapons the hard mode raid is an excruciatingly painful experience.
Templar is easily the hardest part of the raid. Without the cheese my raid team and I get stuck at templar for hours sometimes. We never cheesed atheon or NM Templar. We only cheesed HM templar to get to the rest of the raid without wanting to throw our ps4s out the window.
The hard raid is no longer worth it imo.
Hopefully bungie get things right with crotas end.
Edit: What I'm trying to say is that HM templar is harder than it should be and sometimes causes so much frustration that I would rather not do the raid at all. I have beat HM templar many times legit. Just sharing my opinion about the fight.

Reading through the responses has made me realize how toxic this community is.
Apperently opinions aren't welcome here.
Though I did see some light in the darkness.

Edit: I want to make it clear that I don't like to cheese or ever relied on the cheese. My raid Team and I are very experienced in the VoG and have beat HM templar many times. I just feel templar needs a little tweeking.
If you think I'm just a scrub and I should "get gud" then that's your opinion and I will respect it.

Confluxes and Templar are a pain in the ass now. I never get rewarded for it because of this shitty loot system (literally got all shards my last week when I just need fatebringer). Probably never doing VoG hard and enjoying it again.

The raid should be the most difficult thing that you encounter in the game. I will agree that it is a tedious portion of the raid although is not impossible to beat the Templar legit. It just requires a bit more experience and coordinated teamwork.

Shotgun breaks detainment easy, plus kills harpies really quick. not hard if your team doesn't stop teleports. lets be honest, who needs the extra 2 shards now? Might do it if the 5th chest for no teleports was exotic shards instead of ascendant shards

Had you never had been able to push off the Templars people would have spent their time perfecting the fight and, by this point, could clear it with a moderate amount of pain lol. It's a possible outcome of relying on an exploit to clear something. Once it's fixed you can be I'll prepared for a normal clear.

Doesn't help that they brought the encounter up to level 30 rather than 28 like it used to be. At least everyone in my group remembers all the enemies being level 28 before this patch. It was quite annoying. Had three 29s with me and we just couldn't get good dps.

He's really not that hard at all. Honestly, the hardest part is Gorgon's Labryinth. You make it seem like HM Templar is impossible. Last night, the Raid team I was with (guys I had NEVER played with before) beat the Templar without wiping. Kill the oracles on the side that he teleports to, burn his shield, damage. Then repeat. Once again, not that hard. Git gud

4 RepliesI always thought Confluxes was the hardest, although I've only done Templar legit once and Confluxes once. We did have a few defender titans on our team blocking teleports though.

#fixyourshitbungie? That's exactly what they did. Unless you have a solid experienced team yeah it can be difficult but stick with it, once you get the strat down its fun as hell. I've been lucky enough to play with a very experienced team, biggest part is stacking when the shield is taken down, then the relic holder busts everyone free with one relic ground pound, shoot the hell out of him.

BE SMARTER THAN BUNGIE IN THE RAID!!!! They fixed the cheese. Whoopty do. There is a way to make the Templar go exactly where you want him too. It's still like cheesing and it only takes about 20 minutes. Now of course I'm not gonna put our strategy on blast because of course bungie will find a way to ruin it.

3 RepliesWow, really? Pushing him off was so boring. I would actually get yelled at because I would run around killing Oracles and Harpies while everyone circle-jerked in a corner with the relic. I wouldn't die, so the only thing that ticked them off was that the relic was pretty much useless while locks and titans spammed their nades. I'm a hunter and sitting there with my thumb up my ass was a dreadful experience. I've said it many times that I couldn't wait till they patched. I'm so glad that they did. Stop expecting to get your gear for free.

I always cheesed templar with my groups up until yesterday. It was frustrating but it was also more rewarding than sitting back while the warlocks pushed him off. I like this patch I just wish I could get a good loot drop from the templar.

In all honesty, the raid is supposed to be the hardest content in the game. On normal the Templar fight without the ledge fall is quite the battle, however on hard mode (lvl30 content only so if your 29 it will be immensely harder) it requires you to muster your greatest men and strength to overcome impossible odds. Which I like to be honest. "Not everyone will qualify, and not many will survive"- BUNGIE said, and they delivered! Now the only real reason most people complain about these "cheese mode" fixes is that farming the VoG is now much harder. If you wanted to have them fix something, make the special loot drop on a much more likely scale, like the raid gear or weapons to compensate for the time it now takes to get to the bosses and kill them on hard.

Its supposed to be difficult and take teamwork and decent guns. Its unfortunate that every time there is something challenging in this game people feel like they need to complain about it.

This week it took us Almost 3h to get that Bastard, at the end we just sniped him from above with the shield Guy covering two Oracles and us sniping the outhers, After templar we finished the Rest in Less than 20 min.

still easy bro... just have your team stay up top, send one person to get the shield and run around killing oracles/ getting templars shield down. then they shoot the oracles/templar. BLAM easy money... only need one good shield guy.
