Ok soon we will be getting The Dark Below and moving up to lvl 32. But there are a few issues with new level caps. Namely in this game two big issues, one of which is the amount of content that is trivialized at the new "end-game."
Now you may be saying to yourselves, "WTF are you talking about Effin?" Well, I'm talking about the Vanguard Strike playlists and how those two new levels are going to make Strikes in Tiger playlists to become trivial, to the point that 31+ characters are going to be able to walk through them like Daily Missions since they are capped at lvl 24 anyway.
I propose two NEW Playlists which will be set at lvls 26 and 30. What makes them new? Modifiers, btw we need more new Modifiers Bungie. The modifiers would be random and would create a more dynamic approach to the Strikes. Forcing players to think about their loadouts and adding a bit of challenge. Of course there would have to be a risk/reward evaluation and it would be nice if they added the possibility of acquiring Acendant Mats and Exotic Shards to the lvl 30 Dragon Strike playlists I am proposing.
Thoughts? Comments? Ideas?
EDIT - It seems I jumped the gun, Bungie is adding higher level strikes. One thing I would like to mention is the random modifier idea where starting at the 24 Tiger playlist, every 2 levels of difficulty add one modifier. I believe this would add a bit more life to the boring strike grinds

Edited by StorableComa: 12/2/2014 11:29:41 PMIf you are overleveled for the content the game scales you down (Or the content up I guess) to even out the field. I believe regardless if you were 6 levels over the content you would really only deal/receive damage as though you were 2 levels above. Hence why level 30's can still die when selecting the level 8 earth strike, and why you can't one shot all the yellow bars in that strike. Edit: Granted, new modifiers and such could be useful. Though keep in mind the only change in exp you'll see is for the end. a level 2 dreg and a level 24 dreg still give the same exp for kill.
