Edited by Apollo 00063: 12/3/2014 1:59:15 AMThe original Mario: my dad traded a guy our Atari 2600 for the NES (it's funny looking back because the guy boldly stated that Atari was the future.....). I remember playing it and watching others play it and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. The NES had all sorts of great games, Contra TNMNT, Castlevanina, Tecmo Superbowl...I could easily list a ton of games. The big game changer for me was N64/Mario64 - as it should have been for most gamers at the time. 3D gaming....whhhhaaaatttt??!!

Showing my age here, but Pole Position for Atair 5200 was the first game that I ever played. I was 4yo and never stopped playing to this day.
-
Top down shooters where you're a jet shooting up with power ups coming every which direction. If I owned one arcade machine this would be it.

The one that did me in was probably WoW. Where I knew I was a serious gamer and could potentially have problem lol That being said, the ones when I was younger were never an "ah ha" moment. Just slowly putting nails into the coffin. Gameboy: Tetris Metroid 2 Kirby SNES: Zelda - Link to the past Super Metroid FF2 & 3 Street Fighter 2 Secret of Mana Mario Cart Mario RPG MegaMan X Mortal Combat 2 Illusion of Gaia Playstation: Rage Racer Wild Arms Suikoden 2 Resident Evil Twisted Metal 1&2 FINAL FANTASY 7 Xenogears Castlevania SoTN Final Fantasy Tactics Armored Core Street Fighter Alpha 2 Tenchu N64: Zelda 64 OoT PC: Warcraft 2 ToD Starcraft 1&2 WoW (vanilla and first 2 expacs) Diablo 3 PS3: Street Fighter 4 series Uncharted 2-3 GoW 3 Metal Gear Solid 4 CoD Blops2 Red Dead Redemption AC2 Batman 1&2 The Last of US Need for Speed Shift PSP: Tactics Ogre PS4: The Last of Us (again!) Destiny And these were just the good games worth mentioning !!

I've been playing since Sears pong in the 70s..but Castle Wolfenstein and Wizardry on Apple II+ were what solidified my gaming foundation. Wasteland was most influential on gaming genres and reading (post apocalyptic).
-
So many out there but my all-time favorites have to be Ratchet and Clank Series and Onimusha 3: Demon Siege for the PS2. Loved the puzzles it had and the different elemental weapons. Wish they would make a new one!
-
Paradroid 1985 those were the good days
-
Final Fantasy III(VI) on SNES. I had my Atari 2600 followed by my original NES.... but once I played FF6 I knew my hobby would become my addiction
-
Paper Mario on the 64

Everybody is just naming old games. Yes u agree I spent a ton of time playing them. But World of Warcraft end of vanilla and burning crusade got me truly hooked on gaming. I was a teenager and no responsibility. Tons of time on my hands and every single second I had free I was on that game. Great times. Truly great times

As a kid= Zelda Teen= NHL 95 College=WCW vs NWO and Madden Then after a long break MW2 Never thought I would be into MMO/RPG games but now thats all I want to play

Warlords II for DOS way back in the early nineties. I must have bee like 6 or 7 when I first played it. Grew up on commadores, it was one of the first PC games I played.

SNES Metroid and 007 on 64. Still my favorite games

The magic that "Doom" was, then the amazing goose bumps I was getting fighting in Half Life, destiny got me few (very) tense moments (killing Sepik Prime as lvl 27 on nightfall when both my partners were dead) but nothing came close to that!
