Ok community what was that one game that sold you to the gaming life!? What is that one game that when you think back it bring about the good old days memory :)!

First real game is Final Fantasy 8. Final Fantasy pulled me into the gaming world and still to this day has not let go! (I don't really want it too either). :)

Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy Games, bunch of classic Nintendo and SNES games... Then as I got older Command and Conquer, Warcraft 1,2,3 and then WoW with Halo's thrown in there... It was never just 1 game that got me into gaming...

As a kid I was always playing punch out and base wars. Zelda locked me in. Growing older as an adult the game that sealed it for me was FFXI. I was one of the reasons for the ridiculous disclaimer at the beginning about spending time with family.

Contra was the one I had to have the nes for. Final fantasy 1 is the game that hooked me though.

Space Invaders when you used to drop coins in it!!! The original Atari console games like Frogger. Final Fantasy VIII was the first real story driven game that really hooked. Myst was also really good with puzzles etc. Recently Fallout, Skyrim mainly. Tried the usual suspects but no joy.

Super Mario Bria as a kid, final fantasy X when I got older, mass effect after HS

Crash bandicoot haha. Then I had a blast with Spyro. Moved on to the final fantasy series and Legend of Legaia. Moved up to the ps2 with sly cooper and the Jak and Daxter series. Also fell in love with Ratchet and Clank. And then...monster hunter. Still to this day I have more hours on monster hunter than any other game.

FINAL FANTASY 7 really brought me into the gaming world hard core status. Funny thing is at the time I didn't speak english, so I couldn't get past the first boss till I learned english and understood what to do. Lol

5 RepliesAlthough far from the first game I played, my favourite game has to be Final Fantasy 8 I think it came at just the right time in my youth when I was a young teen and to me, it got everything right The battles, the enemies, the story though a bit iffy was mostly solid, the personality of the characters, the arts style, the different environments and the drama, this game changed everything for me as it grabbed at my soul and squeezed emotion from my every pore I'm not going to write a review about it lol but I absolutely seen FF8 as some next level shit that only a lucky group of gamers played and appreciated. It pushed the boat out for me and apart from the Last of Us it's hard to get that same type of emotion now days If you guys never got to play this game I suggest at some point you set aside some time and play this game from an age where gaming mattered, where the developers actually tried to sell their games and was the reason we all played If i had to choose 1 word to describe it, I don't think I can. It's just one of those things you need to play to appreciate
