Edited by Elazul: 12/3/2014 11:55:19 PMChrono Trigger on the SNES. Amazing story, excellent animations by the guy who created Dragonball Z, masterful music, likable characters, first game to ever include New Game+ mode, multiple endings that depend on the choices you make in game, and much much more i'm probably forgetting. There have been few games that have captured me the same way this game has. I still religiously play it once a year to boot. Unfortunately, they don't make them like they used to anymore. Though I have hopes for The Witcher 3.

Championship sprint for the Commodore 64. My brother and I had hours of fun with that game.

Final Fantasy 7....mmm...the memories

Only nearing age 19 now, so games are pretty new comparatively, but between the original Halo and Pokémon, I was hooked early on.
-
Final Fantasy 4 (3 in the original US)...I remember grinding to level so I could beat Zeromus. I got an NES at launch too, so my grandparents get the thanks for starting my gaming. Best present ever

I miss old school games in general... Modern games (this gen) (GTA aside) are comparable to modern music ie Justin Bieber, 1D, Nicky Minaj etc
-
Well for me. It would have had to have been either Street Fighter 2 or Earth worm Jim. On Sega genesis .
-
Donkey Kong 64, and Mario Party 2 I was in 3rd or 4th grade. I'm about a quarter of a century years young.

Edited by x_IM-LOKI_x: 12/3/2014 11:38:30 PMBelieve it or not, and I'm not joking. At age five, I was absolutely hooked on my first game for the Game Boy Color for Winnie the Pooh. It was actually difficult to be a kiddie game. luckily it wasn't too much longer and I had my first generation DS playing real games like Mario, sonic, Zelda, and diddy kong. And then I got my PS1 playing crash bandicoot, Metal Gear, spyro, and ace combat. But I think all in all, Super Mario World is what made me a gamer. It was the first game I went all in on. I played it all day every day. I maxed out the game completely: every coin, every secret, all of the star levels (tubular was a bitch xD), and even found the elusive "top secret area". What makes a person a gamer is when they dive into a game and it becomes all they know, a true gamer wants to uncover EVERYTHING about the world put in front them and won't stop until we get closure. Even though people love a good kill streak, it's the story that sticks with us. Yeah we loved our "master prestige" account on BO1, but EVERYONE gets a good laugh from yelling at random people in math class saying "WHAT DO THE NUMBERS MEAN!?" I know this is no place for ranting but, Destiny needs to work on letting people know wth is going on xD I only figured it out at the very end at the heart of darkness( literature joke).

Mercs or WWF on the arcade back in the late 80's..goodbye reality

Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Genesis, Capcom vs Marvel in the arcade, and California Cruisin' in the arcade. Those games are my early childhood

Remember when street fighter and mortal kombat 1st came out lol... People that wanted next had to put quarters up for next.....Miss going to arcades Saturday morning battling Dudes lol

Mega man 2, galaga, duck hunt and super mario world. I remember being up at my grandmothers cottage and she used to get so pissed at me because all i wanted to do is play mega man, galaga and duck hunt instead of going outside lol. The super mario is probably my best memory as its what me, my bro and dad used to play before he passed its one of the only memories i have of him which is probably why im the gamer i am today.
