Edited by Kronika: 12/7/2014 3:56:02 PMResident evil 2 and breath of fire 3. I could go back father but those are my old school favorites. Maybe just Dragon Quest, fighting slimes and knights. That elusive metal slime that always ran away

Let's keep it going people I know there's more old school games out there :)!!

Pokemon Red hooked me bad and I haven't looked back. I played before Pokemon, but that game really solidified me as a gamer and as someone who loves games where you level up.

the first Mortal Kombat on the Sega Genesis. My oldest brother let me play it when I wasn't supposed to (yes, my mother was a "violent video games corrupt our kid's minds" bandwagoner). I couldn't decided which was better, the fact my older brother was letting me play a new video game with him or that I'm ACTUALLY PLAYING MORTAL KOMBAT. Both our favorite colors were blue but since he didn't want me to be the blue ninja because he was picking him, I just went with the next best thing. The yellow ninja. Probably Starfox 64. I played other video games before then but this title was a game changer. Rumble Pack bros!

Edited by Tommikaze: 12/4/2014 12:23:27 AMI have played video games since the 80s from Atari on through to the original Xbox. I modded that Xbox rented games and saved them to the hard drive to play later. That ruined gaming for me, I never completed one of them and lost complete interest for a years. I did manage to squeeze in Shadow of the Colossus (which was great) on a borrowed PS2. Then a friend gave me a broken Xbox 360 that I fixed and figured I'd try gaming again. Saw the epic Bartholomew trailer for Dark Souls while watching football and figured what the hell it looks cool I'll try it out. I have been hooked again ever since. Even though it's a newer game Dark Souls saved gaming for me and is one of my all time favorites.

I'm old - Combat on the Atari 2600. Late 70s. I wanted so badly to blow up other people on my TV - and I did. Thankfully my parents enabled me.

I was probably sold into gaming when I first started playing Boulderdash on the c64. Since then there have been so many games that give that warm fuzzy feeling when thinking back : Elite, Legend of Zelda (in its lurvly golden cart), Final Fight, Street Fighter 2, Super Mario 3, Metroid, Zool, Moonstone, Bugbomber, Marathon, Quake, Duke Nukem 3D (the first one), Hexen, Heretic, Command and Conquer, Populous the Beginning, Final Fantasy 7 through 10.....Soooooo many more
