I can't find my other reply, but I was reminded of a classic that deserves a mention: Fantasy Zone in a friend's basement on their Commodore 64. Right up there with Mega Man in another friend's basement on their NES.

Dude... I wish we could have the Nintendo Duck Hunt gun in Destiny. 15 Round mag, High Rof, High Stability, Lower Range and Impact than traditional handcannons. Maybe it could sound like an updated version? Lol I know it'll never happen but a guy can dream right?

Doom, Pokemon, and Silent Hill. Doom was pixelated violence and goodness, I remember when Pokemon only had eight colors in the game world, (white was pretty much the main color) and I remember being freaked out in foggy Monterey thinking a flying dog was going to carry me away. XD

Zelda, duh.

Donkey Kong Country, I mastered that game

Dragon Ball Z. I remember buying the first Nintendo. Big, chunky thing, small screen. Sweet memories. You youngins don't know how good you got it.

There was the original Leisure Siit Larry game which was hilarious as a kid. The original Wing Commander. Then there was an rpg that if you picked your nose you could level your lockpicking skill. You had three classes (Warrior, Thief, Magic User of some sort) and a hidden fourth class (Paladin) if you spec'd right. And you could transfer your character from the first game to the second game. It was an amazing game and I can't remember the name of it. :(

Star Control... Old school computer PvP. I bet no one remembers that one, either that or I'm just old.

I'd been playing video games pretty much all my childhood with "Mario" and "Alien Crush" (Pinball Game) getting heavy play. But the games that really made me fall in love with gaming (and made me a gamer, rather than a person who plays video games) were "Zelda: Ocarina of Time" and "Final Fantasy 7" (both purchased around the same time) for console gaming. And "Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magick Obscura" for helping to me to see my computer as a gaming machine as well. Special shoutout to Perfect World: International for getting me into MMOs, something I had written off as uncool and a waste of time, despite being a gamer. Until I saw this free one, liked the look, and decided to get over my prejudice against them and just try it. Very glad I took that leap.
