"The swords of Crota have entered this world"
Anyboy else seeing this cool public event on the Moon since the last update? Where your hud says that the swords of Crota have entered this world or something. Than a knight called a minion of Crota or something pops up with a few acolytes and you need to kill them to get the sword and destroy the other acolytes. After that you get about a minute until the sword disappears.
It's really fun when it happens, it's already happened to me twice while on the Moon. I assume this has something to do with the Dark Below.

Happening on Earth too. Got the sword twice yesterday on Patrol.

Not really a public event. You kill the Knight, take the sword and kill the Acolytes. Doesn't seem to be anything added to the Grimoire.

1 ReplyI really think there could be more to this, like something you can do with the sword to unlock something or I dunno, people should experiment with it. Can you drop the sword and someone else pick it up? Does it last longer if you keep killing with it? What if you take it somewhere else? What about into the hive area on earth near the wrecked ships?

2 RepliesI just saw this on earth patrol in the Divide. Dude had a sword of Crota and was killing dregs with it. It just stopped and stared. I figured the would come out with the expansion but that's a week from now. Good to know other guardians are seeing the same.

I was waiting to blast some creatures coming out of a cave on the Steppes, when they didn't I went in and there was a "Blade of Crota" with some acolytes spawning. WHen I killed the Blade, I got his sword and started hacking away. It only stayed for a little while, then pulsed green - like Crota's weapon in the new cinematic - and then vanished. Needless to say, "XBOX Record that" came in a few times.

had them twice in the cosmodrome it was nice to be surprised and of coarse to go on a killing spree with a sword.

I've had this happen thrice. Twice in the steppes on cosmodrome and once on moth yards going to check and see if anything new in the grottos by forgotten shore

2 RepliesPurple Jaime, it has happened to me as well...but on Patrol while at the Cosmodrome! The small building to the left of the starting area, if you go down the stairs...as soon as you round the corner into the dark, you are met face-to-face with Acolytes & a Minion who has a sword. Mind you when he dies it says to pick up his "rifle", but the fact that I get to weild a Sword of Crota is pretty cool.
