Warlocks are now useless in VOG.
No more gouda, no more parmesan, no more government issued cheese for you sissy raiders dependant on sun singers. Warlocks are uselss now, sure try and argue "but dude they can revive", if you have to rely on a couple birds to keep the team from wiping you shouldn't be doing the raid in the first place. Learn to play your class and play smarter and you wont become thay one link.
Edit: Holy hell there's alot of salty warlocks in here. Also alot of dumb people who still don't know your from you're lmao. Keep it up guys this is too funny to read!
Edit 2: all this Morton's is outstanding! Don't be mad my class out ranks yours in every way shape and form because i know how to play my class! LOL!

Cheesing never really made them ideal. I think a lot of people were drawn to the self resurrection. Every class and subclass has a place in the raid. Except Bladedancer, their usefulness is limited. This will hopefully change in the next raid, I like diversity.

I play all 3 classes (30 Titan/Warlock, 29 Hunter) and I can easily say when running VOG my warlock is definitely my favourite to play with. Nova Bomb is great for clearing mobs and taking out Pretorians/Minotaurs and Sunsinger is great for self res it makes soloing gatekeeper portals a breeze and can help a lot during the atheon battle if you are unlucky and die. So to say warlocks are 'useless' in the VOG is incredibly stupid especially since not only have you not played it as a warlock, and secondly because the VOG is based mainly on your gunplay and general skill, which doesn't matter which class you play.

Warlock Rank 9/10 From experience I had a hard time using the Hunter. [spoiler]It just seems like you have to be too accurate with gun slinger and too quick with blade dancer. Hunter Rank 7/10 [/spoiler] Titan classes striker is a lot of fun and I love playing in PvE and shoulder barging enemies with brute force. Titan Rank 9/10

Seeing as you're all taking this seriously, my 2c is that the difference between the classes is almost meaningless compared to skill and knowledge of the raid. In my eyes self-res is a crutch for poor performers. If you need to have it equipped to keep up with the people you're playing with, then you're underskilled by comparison to them, and they should probably find a better teammate.

Warlock's aren't useless in anyway. Sunsingers are a supportive role and Voidwalkers are DPS. God forbid Atheon gets patched nobody bats an eye. Templar gets patched every piece of shit like you makes a dumb -blam!-ing thread saying Warlock's are useless. Every -blam!-ing class is useful in the raid. So do us all a favor, shut the -blam!- up and go back to playing your little fairy -blam!- of a Hunter.

Not only self-revive when in dire need, but some play with Song of Light or the defense buff for the orb-spawning rampage. Voidwalkers play a massive DPS role in the raid as well. They mainly use their skills for crowd control or to kill/damage a big and powerful enemy. They can use the Vortex augmentation to the super to lockdown an area of interest. Bloom/Shatter/Annihilation combo can destroy large group of enemies in a flash. And finally the Lance/annihilation/bloom combo can murder the Atheon without having to worry about missing a critical super. Please re-evaluate the power and usage of the Warlock. [spoiler]I maxed out both subclasses. Don't tell me they're useless.[/spoiler]

6 RepliesSo I'm in the hard raid at Atheon. We get his health down to very little. He's not many shots away from dying so we only had to go through the portals 1 more time. Then...a glitch happens. I am the only person teleported. As soon as I realized it I told my remaining teammates outside of the portal. When they heard they immediately tried finishing off Atheon. I end up dying to a Minotaur and our screens then start to turn red. With very little time left, my teammates could not finish off Atheon before wiping. Luckily I revived myself with my level 30 Sunsinger and gave the people outside the extra time they needed in order to kill him! We all get our rewards then died. But yeah you know...Warlock isn't useful
