I solo'd it twice for both of my thorns... Just hang back in the entrance like you do to solo weekly or nightfall on summoning pits.

The problem is the part that comes before the final boss fight where you have to fight 3 waves of hive. Those wizards literally bombard the shit out of me.

You need a 2nd player to help. The revives are very time saving.

Vision of confluence / light beware / pocket infinity/ icebreaker / solar HMG are your friends... It also helps I'm a hunter w/ golden gun. (Finally a damn use) just takes time and patience.
