If you could clone yourself and then have those clones grow up and develop in different socioeconomic backgrounds and different family structures, how do you think they would develop and how different from you do you think they would turn out?
Would you want to see the results of the test performed on yourself?

They would all be different. Our past shapes us into who we become.
-
They'll be happy. Why wouldn't they be? :D
-
Hey Jolly, could I talk to you?
-
They would still need to kill themselves.
-
I would get the clones to 1v1 each other
-
I'm sure that they would be better off than me right now in life.
-
Is there any cyanide in the experiment? Science is not fun without cyanide. * sips root beer * * sips hot chocolate *
-
Nope..cause one of them would realize that one of his other clones has a desire to be the ultimate clone. and it would be a battle to the death between me and my final clone.
-
Ah, nature v nurture. I go with nurture. My DNA is the foundation, but the details of who I have become are a result of chance and circumstance.
-
You wouldn't want to know but if you start hearing about a bunch if new gen murders and some people being hanged...I am not responsible.
-
Well, I suspect they'd be a lot more extravert (in real life) than I am now, and maybe not even socially anxious/awkward. Because that began with one specific event about five years ago now.

-
People are both the result of their genetic code and life experiences so yes they would be different.
-
Edited by Verbatim: 12/2/2014 6:24:16 AMObviously they would turn out quite different. I wouldn't clone myself.
-
Easy there Aldous Huxley.
-
I would turn out very different, most likely. And as interesting as that would be, I'd rather not have that experiment done with my clone. Just gives me an uneasy feeling.
-
You would probably have to do billions of tests to get reliable results, because I can probably think of countless different things that may have altered who I am and will be as a person. It would be really interesting, for certain.
-
Everyone's environments growing up are different. My clone might not like playing videogames, or he might be a psychologically stable person.
-
It depends on where they end up, I'm a believer of the saying that you're a product of your environment
-
Both of them would be...
feggits
-
A richer me would be a world famous livestreamer/MLG pro. A poorer me with less morals would be a petty thief.
-
Entirely different
-
Happier, but not as smart.
-
I want answers
-
What if, after cloning, you could some how control them as if they were you?
