So THORN and VEX are now the ultimate exotics
So after the update came out I immediately took off to clash to test out both weapons THORN: faster reload, nine bullets, faster handling, 2 shots plus Mark Of D to kill. VEX MYTHO: Returned to old glory, It singes people like bee-outch, lower mag size not a big deal!. So lets discuss, are these two the best now or is there still something better?.

5 RepliesI agree the vex is the best as it should be. I have thorn and may start upgrading it now that I've seen all these post about it being more useful now. I really wish the bad juju got an impact upgrade. it's still lives up to its name right now cause it's bad..

1 ReplyNoticed something, may not be new but is interesting none the less: I was testing thorn yesterday, and discharging the weapon into a wall shows it actually shoots poison throwing knives. The knives stick out of the wall for about 3-5 seconds after discharge.

Thorn has always been my favorite exotic even before buff. Mostly because of its deep and dark story.

1 ReplyThere's no thorn bandwagon. It was crap because of the slow reload, 6 bullet mag. It just was a rare weapon to actually use. Now I didn't mess with it once I got it much because I just couldn't get a kill with it. Wasn't strong enough n it didn't hold enough ammo. I'm sorry but hard light master race beats suros any day. Tired if ppl saying pre patch hard light was poop. It's an amazing exotic n now it's even better. Only ppl who complain are bad juju, suros, and last word hoarders xD

2 RepliesThe reason I am perfectly fine this being a OP exotic (It isn't even OP) is that you have to EARN it. Other Exotics like Hawkmoon are RNG based an may have no actual skill involved in getting them. An example being the Last person in a Crucible match getting Ice Breaker, no work or earning involved. With Thorn you not only have to be RNG lucky to get the Bounty but go through 5 Or so Trials involving nearly every aspect of the game. Thorn therefore, with one of the hardest exotic bounties, is justified in being powerful and getting a Generous Buff.

1 ReplyI think their buffs are well deserved. The thorn should be a top tier exotic weapon alongside the Vex. The Thorn bounty takes a lot of work to complete and Thorn is unavailable from Xur or RNG. As far as the Vex goes, it should be a great weapon. This buff brings it back to what it should be; Great.

12 RepliesTo those saying that thorn is op. U also have to consider what it takes to get it. It doesn't drop it actually has a bounty which is a mega pain to complete. So given the effort I say it is a fair trade
