Just a heads up, there is probably some grammar issues or wrong words that are in the wrong places.More in reply
The scientific Guardian part two:
Hello again guardians, it's good to speak to you again, at least as me. Maybe you spoke to this body but it could've been somebody else. It's hard to tell who we are but we are here. I'm glad you're giving us a chance to speak, the vanguards gave up on us, although I am someone who knew them. I have too many questions about ourselves? So must you, but that is not why you are here.
My ghost, Aurora, and I were walking for several hours. Aurora mentioned something about me getting a sparrow, and that's began our journey. I was panting though, we were walking for eight hours straight.
On our long journey, we talked a lot about her, the unfairness she had to deal with. She told me that she was on a personal mission to reunite her people, the awoken. Keep in mind, I had no idea what I'm woken was until she took off her helmet. She grew up in the last safe city on earth, that was a horrifying shocker to me. I thought it was just the city of freehold, let alone the entire solar system!
She continued to explain that her mission started off as a diplomatic one. She was trying to contact the so-called Queen of her people. The Queen was at this place called the reef, Aurora confirmed that it's the asteroid belt beyond Mars but all of you already know that. Sadly though, her attempts to communicate ended badly. Aurora announced herself as a diplomat of earth but the Queen wasn't interested in politics, she wasn't interested in unity, she was interested in warriors. Aurora had an upgraded Regulus class ship, had everything but a defense array, which gave a great maneuverability. This is probably the only reason why she survived. They opened fired and Aurora dodged as much as she could. She made a successful jump to Mars but her ship was still greatly damaged. She crashed and barely survived.
Aurora explained to me that guardians, because their ghosts, can be resurrected from the dead multiple times, and less they lose their ghost or are consumed to the darkness. I was shocked that the traveler gave me, just some random scientist, this much power. I guess over the years, my discoveries became more and more important. My research became incredibly important and I spend most my time as a guardian looking up those databanks.
Anyway, continuing her story, she struggled to find some way to survive for the next week. She saw the Queen’s people overhead, she was wondering why she was still being hunted. Aurora is no guardian but she learned a lot from one, your Vanguard, Clyde 66 or whatever, I always called him Clyde. Not very good at remembering numbers, it doesn't help that our mind is all jumbled with other peoples’. She always snuck around, making sure she was never seen. Eventually, they found the crash site. The Queen’s soldiers got out of point guns directly at the ship while others set up a perimeter to keep watch. Aurora was shocked to see that the Queen's brother came out and started talking to one of the soldiers. She couldn't hear the conversation between the two but she could tell it was getting heated. That is when the brother yelled at the soldier, "I want that woman alive! When I saw her face through that transmission, I knew that she was the one for me! She will marry me and be the bearer of my children or she will die!" Aurora is a free spirit, she believes very much in choice and she began to run off. When she got back to her place, she thought about using the equipment she just got to build a way to communicate with the tower but she realized that the Queen's soldiers would just get her transmission. She felt cornered, she decide to look for a new ship and that's when she ran into me.
I told her that all help protect her and she laughed of the notion of me protecting her. I said that I might not be able to fight but I'll help her get away to the best of my ability. She told me later that she blushed greatly but at the time I thought I was just being a good friend, I had no idea what was going on underneath her helmet. She said thank you and she appreciates the help. My ghost popped out and said that she could help too, she could locate a ship and with the sparrow, get their lot faster. My ghost told us to stop because we were almost there but the only problem was, so was the cabal.
You're expecting me to say, so naturally we stormed in, but there is no way in hell I was going get into another firefight. Aurora took account of all the cabal around and she looked at me, I could tell that she was disappointed. My ghost told me that when I get more powerful and understand my guardian powers better, we could've easily taken them on. In the current moment though, we assessed that sneaking under the cover of night was better. We all left and hurry sense is close to getting dark soon.
We got into an abandoned building and sat down. The sand almost felt like a nice comfortable couch. I took off my helmet when my ghost said that there was no more enemies around. Aurora hesitated a little before she relaxed enough to take off hers.
At that moment, I realized what an awoken action was and my jaw dropped a little bit. Aurora was definitely beautiful, somehow her blue skin emphasized her gorgeous red hair. At that moment, I guess even today looking at you awoken guardians, her eyes shined with an ice blue, you can see brilliance that was brighter than anyone else.
The first words that I came out of my mouth, were not romantic at all. This is what I said dumbfounded, "so awoken are different species? I thought you were some kind of clan of people or something?" She was immediately shy. I quickly recognized my mistake, "I'm so sorry if I offended you. There's just been no one like you during my time. You look mystical and majestic…"
And I should have said what I said afterwards as she was about to say thank you, "or is it racist or speciest?" She put her palm against her face as my ghost looks down on the ground. My ghost said, "smooth Bill, real smooth." Aurora was a lot nicer with her response, "you didn't say anything wrong, as a matter fact it's quite a compliment and a good save. Tensions in the city between the humans and the awoken have gotten worse because of dead orbit attempts to go through the reef." She saw my confused look and explain to me a little bit about the factions. The importance of her mission started to become more and more clear the more we talked.
She eventually asked about my past a little nervously. I asked what she wanted to know about me. She then asked me a very odd question, "what are you comfortable telling me about yourself?" I answered I was basically comfortable with everything, I asked if people were not comfortable telling others about themselves. Aurora told me that guardians do not talk about their past, and if they do it's always after the moment they've died. Some might have memory loss but others just don't talk about it.
I'm curious on what you think Guardians? Are you comfortable with your past or do you have questions with it? What if the answer is not to import. What's important is who you are now, we've learned that the hard way and it's always a lesson we will always keep on learning… Maybe until time ends.
I told her that I lived a very normal life. I was always curious about science and the life of the traveler. Mysteries have always intrigued me. I told her about my friends and family, so my professors in the Academy. Apparently some of it is still standing and she and my ghost continued to praise the fact that the greatest minds went there, they now started get a better idea as to why I was a guardian. I blew both their minds though when I mentioned the parties that we had. The idea of drunk college students at the Academy seem to be incredibly shocking.
