After almost 3 months of playing Destiny, and leveling up one of each character class, I realized that the dynamics for storing materials (among the many other game items) is overly time consuming, primarily due to loading time between the Tower and Orbit, and Orbit to any other place in the Destiny game universe.
Other players I have talked to in-game agreed with the mention of an option/prompt to select the quantity of materials to store in the Vault for use on another character, rather than our only current options to:
1) Delegate the Tower Vault or an assigned character(s) to hold a said type/amount of any stackable material.
2) Delegate individual characters (of up to 3 total) to retain all collected materials in their inventory throughout individual game progression. (Delegate the player to NOT combine material stacks in inventory with material stacks in the Tower Vault, because it is not reversible).
This suggestion mostly stems from the unnecessary frustration I felt when I was upgrading a Warlock armor gear that required Spinmetal, while I also had a Hunter armor gear that required Spinmetal. I wanted to divide my Warlock-held 150+ Spinmetal between both characters for equal progression on both characters/gears, but instead I was limited to either farming more Spinmetal on one of the characters, or passing the stack back and forth between both characters.
Certainly this would relieve and excite players who choose the path of leveling 3 of the same character class on their account!

Either way, it is apparent to me that this small modification to the material storage system will optimize the in-game time required to travel, obtain, and share or delegate materials between 3 characters on an account. This dynamic to stackable item storage and usage is very common in other item- and level progression-based games (i.e. Blizzard games). Currently there is ample room in the Destiny character material inventory to have a secondary stack of 4 types of materials thus far (and this is possibly going to change come the time of Dark Below's release). So, I must ask while I make this suggestion, was this an earlier discussion during the alpha? In other observation, could this be a future job for the Postmaster?

That's a start, but they really need a way you can easily switch weapons and armor between your different characters. It shouldn't have to take 15 minutes to grab a gun that one of your alts is holding.
