I've done the raid on hard as well as normal a multitude of times with more than one character. I know the Vault of Glass like the back of my hand, yet I know people that purchased the game while I was a level 29 and have surpassed me in rank because of the loot system in said raid. (This week was my 18th completion across various characters on various dificulties; I have gotten two pairs of boots so far.) I am VERY hesitant to buy the "DLC" to a game which has given me this sort of experience. I love Destiny, but I hate the loot system in the raid(s). Bungie should implement a system in which once a player has completed the raid at least ten times on any difficulty he or she should be GUARANTEED at least one armor drop at a random reward point within said raid. This will give those like me more incentive to play yet hender the happenstance of everyone being a level 30 with ease.
In conclusion, I really love this game, but am growing angry with the helpless feeling I get when I see less dedicated players pass my level and get to 30. I'm still happy for them for beating the system, but it is still frustrating. I want this game to work, but right now it just isn't.
THE IRON BANNER WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN ME TO RANK 30!

I don't buy into the pity. You could've gotten the gloves from Iron Banner then just needed one more piece. The common misconception people make is playing the raid a couple times will land them all the equipment they need. This game is a grinding King. You will have to grind it to get the stuff you want, or give up and trade this game in. It took me over 10 raids to land my first piece of raid gear. I didn't complain, it wouldn't have gotten me anywhere. I kept grinding, now the raid doesn't offer me anything I care for, because I already have everything it offers.
