I totally agree with you, and I also think that we are not very far away from seeing an MMO game worthy of our time. All of these opinions are being read by some other game developer looking at all these mistakes and jotting them down for future use, I don't think it'll be long beofre some hole in the wall company releases an incredible game and we look back and laugh at franchises like COD and Destiny.
