Some of that I disagree with.....
They didn't have the perks I wanted, but I needed the light. It was going to take weeks to earn the marks to buy them, but I needed the light.
your telling me that Dead orbit, new monarchy, vangaurd, crucible AND future war cult had NOTHING that interested you???
Everyone wears the voidfang vestments nowadays. There's no reason not to, and more likely than not, it's one of the few exotics they've had the chance to own.
Not sure what game your playing.....but I never wear it unless I pvp....I own every warlock exotic, and thats far from the best.
Guns? They're so rare, just like the armor.
I like to earn my gear, and I like it rare...I hate running around with the same shit as everyone else.....
Most of your other points I do agree with tho.....this game be getting STALE as hell, even PvP is getting really old...but i guess thats what happens when you have ONE game mode bungie.....

If you have raid weapons and gear, nothing else is going to interest you. Primary's with void, solar or arc. I'm not gonna swap those out for any faction or exotic weapons. Boots with a heavy ammo increase, keeping it. Destiny doesn't give you many options and this bit seems like the least of the problems that Destiny suffers from.
-
Destiny does give you options, but you just choose not to use them. If you only play with your "best" or "preferred" weapons and armor you are just minimizing your experience. Try playing with weapon classes that you are not as comfortable with, or using play style that you do not prefer. Downgrade your armor so your light level is below your max so you can run a nightfall or raid at a disadvantage. Once you max out a weapon, don't use it unless you think you need the extra firepower. Run the raid without using any heavy weapons at all. Etc. Half of the stated repetitiveness is because you are playing the game the same way.
-
So I have to make the game harder on myself or I'm minimizing my experience? I'm now playing the game wrong. Wow, just wow.
-
The point is that the game will be repetitive if you keep doing the same thing every time. Yes, you are minimizing your experience if you exclude options that provide different gaming experiences. What's wrong with the game being harder? Destiny is a casual game with easy-medium difficulty.

Trust me, I know its easy. I have used all weapons in crucible and still do very well. It shouldn't be up to me to make it more exciting.
