The Four Different types of VoGers
Just Incase you don't know, there are 4 different types of VoGers, the Narcissist, the Helper, the Newbie and the BA Silent dude.
NOTE:
This thread is just for lolzies! Don't get offended if you happen to be one of them!
The Helper is the kind of guy who helps out the Newbies and tends to get things done.
The Newbie is a guy who has only played VoG a couple of times. They usually get yelled at by the Narcissist.
The Narcissist is the annoying guy who does not much but tells people what to do, and treats people like idiots if they ask a simple question.

The professional, he eats, breathes and sleeps the raid. If you have questions, go Blam!- yourself, noob. If you've never done a part a certain way, clearly you're holding the group back. If by chance you die in the hard raid you need to be kicked. The only person who can die is him, because you should have been there to help with that praetorian or obviously the game glitched. When you go back and check the stats, this world eating bad ass has the most deaths and the least kills.

The Mavericks, he'd just as soon run off on his own and blaze his own trail. He always knows the best routes and methods so why would he listen to the group. In the gorgon route he takes alternate paths, when it changes the Gorgon's path it's clearly your fault. He's gonna pick up the relic before anyone gets a chance, when he dies it was your fault you didn't help clear the mobs because you had to focus shots for oracles. [/spoiler]
The BA Silent Dude is the one guy who doesn't talk a lot, only when important, but they tend to get fecal matter done. If they're the fire team leader, they tend to boot Narcissists.

Or the one dude who can't focus on the game and ends up leaving every phase to get food or some shit. It takes at least 15 minutes to find a group, go to the bathroom and get food/drink before you start. Interruptions waste time

19 RepliesHad some retard tell me today that the relic holder should kill all the mobs, then run all the way back up the stairs to the top to cleanse, and that the other two people shouldn't help kill the praetorian or walk down the stairs.

I'm the silent dude. I won't claim I'm BA, though, although I do tend to come out at or near the top on relevant kills. I got yelled at a lot on HM Gatekeepers in my PuG raid yesterday for not talking enough, apparently. Here's the deal - stuff like figuring out who's going to go in the portal to cover the ass of whoever died in there, or figuring out who's going to go defend the conflux for whoever's ass died on it, etc. SHOULD NOT BE determined in the oh so common fashion of "OH SHIT x or y person IS DOWN ON MARS! WHO'S GOING TO GO IN?! SOMEONE!! SOMONE GET IN THERE NOW!!! OH FINE I'LL DO IT, YOU GUYS -blam!-ING SUCK!! *wipe ensues* There should be a raid leader who delegates that stuff, and he should be the only person talking except for people calling out Praetorians or other absolutely necessary stuff. I can't STAND when people laugh after wipes, get in fights about who caused the wipe, talk about smoking pot, or just otherwise generally clog up the mic with useless stuff. If that goes on for more than a handful of wipes, I usually drop and just go back to destinylfg to look for another group, because in all likelihood that one's not going anywhere. We're there to get stuff done, not be complete dumbasses for 2 hours. /rant

Had one guy during a whole raid saying that there is a hidden chest under Atheon, how doing a hundred patrol missions in one go gives you an exotic, how getting a 15 streak kill in PvP guarantee's an exotic, that there's a hidden chest in the jumping puzzle...... The list goes on....

BALOUD!!type here. I get shit done but I love to talk. As in always cracking jokes and laughing with my fireteam. Just at least to have some fun. Some people take the raid to seriously. Im there for comic relief but people don't get mad at me cuz I'm clutch with that gjallahorn.

Immediately grabs the relic only to die within the first 60 seconds of holding it. 3. When told to throw solar grenades at the Templar they ask, why? 4. When told not to grab said chest they ask, why? 5. Dies falling to the secret chest. Somehow manages to not screw the Gorgon's Maze up. 6. Dies repeatedly by ledge after the jumping puzzle. You know which one I'm talking about. The one where if you try to walk alongside of it it pushes you off. 7. Somehow walks into the gatekeeper as it is exploding. 8. "We're out. Everyone to the middle to defend the conflux." "Where's the middle?" or "What's a conflux?" Sometimes both. 9. "I CAN'T SEE SHIT!!! CLEAN MEEEE!!!" *Holding the relic.*

1 ReplyMay sound arrogant, but BA silent dude. always the last to die on a wipe, learned all the tricks so far.. Usually top 3 kills at level 29 on hard, never slacking just doing work. Will do any job on any encounter. Left right middle I don't care let me kill stuff get rewards and move on. Don't talk unless something needs to be said.. So If anyone is doing hard raid on reset this week I need it 2x :) write down my GT

The guys who won't listen, when on the gatekeeper standing outside the door and everyone is to start firing on 3, he just starts shooting while screaming "LEEEEROOOOY JENKINS". Gatekeeper doesn't die in the middle, have to go all the way in. Then, when on Atheon he's level 28 on hard mode, and told "just shoot the oracles, let a 29 or 30 do the relic" - "I've got the relic!" (Guardian Down). Runs into the middle while supposed to be outside holding the sync plate and screams "LEEERRROOOOOY JENKINS" and tries to FoH Atheon. He's usually scorned by all the others and put on a black list to never raid with again.
