[b][i]So, I was sitting around thinking over my experiences with the game while playing with some friends and randoms I met with. I've been mulling over ideas and bringing up discussions with friends, outstanding players, and even a Beta Tester. So far, the compiled list below that was fleshed out by myself and read aloud for the listed individuals were the more-so serious changes we believe the game desperately needs right now. Whether it's Activision sticking their fingers in the pudding like some kind of spoiled fat brat or not, it needs to stop for the sake of this game and it's player base!
Take everything with a grain of salt. It's merely ideas and examples.[/i][/b]

Trading / Global Marketplace System This is so tremendously in need right now for Destiny. I haven't seen an MMO before Destiny that didn't have some sort of Global Trade concept. So much gear gets wasted and so many people burn out getting dud Raid and Nightfall rewards every week. If you're afraid of abuse via a plain trading system between characters, then why don't you establish a Global Marketplace? You could make a stand-alone space station set area like the Tower on the Main Map that everyone can access and go to. There could be vendors for materials, a post office, Bunches of Trading Posts where they can open up a big full screen menu and list items for so much currency. Abusive? Not in the least. There's two major factors that prohibit 90% of the abuse in this system. The first is 'snipers'. Those people who will pick up on peoples mistake or low priced items to turn around for a profit. The next is that you can place limitations on the price ranges of items. You don't even need to be specific of the weapons. You can just set restrictions based on Rarity. Someone puts up a Rare? 5000 Glimmer Minimum. Someone puts up a Legendary? 10,000 Glimmer and 5 of each Material (Strange Coins, Ascendant Energy, Ascendant Shards) So on and so forth. You could literally stimulate a massive overly successful economy in the game by allowing players to sell their excess materials and varying rarity weapons and armors. Just in my own experience, I've seen so much go to terrible waste and people walk away from the game after slaving for weeks to get nothing. As long as it was regulated by some core minimums and some guidelines, this could blow up into something absolutely amazing. The fun part is that there are so many freely creative things you could do with this system to really make it shine. Being able to trade the excess materials like Spinmetal, Helium, etc that we might have too much of and almost never need for things we do need from other players at a fair rate would be absolutely amazing. If it seems over the top and unecessary, why not a basic trade system? Opens a trade window with 3 slots per person. You can make 3 trades per week total or 1 trade per character per week. So simple and a community saver all the same. I'm literally sitting on items I could have broken down for materials because I want to give them to people who really deserve them, but have been completely pooed on by these random rewards.

Idea 1:
Reforging Weapons for Large Amounts of Glimmer. People want to reforge more than just Iron Banner weapons. Allow them to reforge weapons for a good sum of Glimmer.
2500g - Rare
7500g - Legendary
12,500g - Exotic
(You could even charge varying degrees of Ascendant Energy/Weapon Parts alongside the glimmer)
Idea 2:
Buying Basic Materials for Large Amounts of Glimmer or Strange Coins. This is unnecessary if the creation of a global Marketplace takes off, but without that it can stand on it's own. Helium Filaments? Spinmetal? Spirit Bloom? Relic Iron? You should be able to trade in currencies like Strange Coins and Glimmer for increments of materials. Say 2500 Glimmer and 1 Strange Coin for 5 of a single Material? It sounds pretty wholesomely good, but I'd test and work out ratio kinks to prevent abuse first.

Pay to change a character's appearances at tower after creation. (Vendor? Perhaps a Computer Panel built into a wall in the main area off to the side?)
Expand the options for editting your character's appearance exponentially. Players want to build a character they can connect with and make personal.
- Build up your options for face structures or allow players to mold their own faces. (or tons of varying templates for each piece of the face)
- Expand the pools for color options or allow the addition of color modifier where they can glide the cursor to find a desirable color.
- Exponentially expand the options for custom face designs. Ear rings, make-ups, tattoos, scars, eyebrows, etc etc

Just get creative with them and make things fun.
You could create very expansive normal contracts that give greater rewards. You could also make Weekly Bounties or a Monthly Bounty. Things that took a lot longer to complete than any basic contract, but gave greater reward and could be completed in say a Week or a Month.
Examples:
Weekly Bounty
2000 Melee Kills
+10,000 Exp, +200 Rep
Monthly Bounty
Complete 100 Strikes
+30,000 Exp, +??? Rep
Get creative!
---------------------------------------------------
Increase the number of PvE and PvP Bounties per day by 3.
Example Appearance:
[PvE][PvE][PvE][PvE][PvE][PvE]
[PvE][PvE][PvE]{PvP}{PvP}{PvP}
{PvP}{PvP}{PvP}{PvP}{PvP}{PvP}
----------------------------------------------------
PvP Goals:
Tie the Crucible Rank together as a Skill Rank like back in Halo 2's golden days. Make everyone's goal that Rank 50, 100, etc. (It'll keep hardcore players wanting more and give more goal orientation for basic Crucible.)
----------------------------------------------------
Holiday Events
You guys had an okay start with this past Halloween, but truthfully, your events are lacking pretty heavy comparibly. You should decorate the tower and maybe even mobs if you can fit it in. Do a little more. A special aesthetic like a Santa Hat and Snow revive item are nice, but accompany it with an awesome atmosphere and fitting subtle audio. Surprise us and make the same old Tower something new and exciting for a while.
----------------------------------------------------
Exclusives:
Why is it that the XBOX 360, etc are sitting here twiddling our thumbs after all our support to the previously exclusive Halo games while all these Exotic goodies and events are handed off to the Playstation players? What's worse is waiting over a year just to see those same exclusives. Giving it to us a year later when it's pointless does not excuse the neglect now. It's depressing to think about it. I don't really think we should get 'more' or 'better,' so much as the same amount of perks/goodies.

Your ideas are good I guess but they're missing one very important thing. Better server connectivity. That's the main thing this game needs asap. Forget everything you said. The biggest improvement destiny needs are better servers. No one likes getting randomly booted from the game. Especially in the midst of a strike.

I like your outlook on bounties. Doesn't seem to hard to flesh out to make them fun, creative, and I like your examples. I look at everything as a starter set at this point, it can only get better from here. Well thought out, well done

Did everyone just tl;dr or what? Lol
