Done the raid every single week. 1 piece of armor.
I give up. My friends have moved on to hard mode. They all have 1 or 2 level 30s. Our same group has done the raid together every week yet somehow I have only gotten the raid gloves so the iron banner didn't even help me. I get the random drops. I've played plenty of MMOs like FFXI and WoW. But the fact that its so random that I can no longer play with my friends while they have gotten gear multiple times is ridiculous. I can no longer effectively play with and be useful to my team even though I've put in the same (and more than some) effort. Which means its a social game that I can no longer play with my social group. Mission failed.
You said you wanted everyone to have their own epic story. Mine is this: I put 328 hours into the game. Tonight the last one of our group who has put in 200 hours got the cuirass and can now hit 30. I quit.

dude first of all you can do the hard raid as a lvl 29 which you don't need a single piece of raid gear to get, if all your friends are lvl 30 like you say than having one lvl 29 in the group will still render the hard mode raid easy. secondly, iron banner should have guranteed you legs and boots, then you should get an exotic helmet and you'll be one piece of gear to get 30, I admit i feel bad that you've been so unfortunate but just think that as random as its been (in a negative way for you) it can be just that in a positive way. and hey when crota's end comes out all your friends lvl 30 raid gear will be pointless, and the easy mode is lvl 28 which means as a 29 you can still do it with ease. When you think about it you're not far behind.

3 RepliesI'm a 30 with 35+ VoG clears on a Warlock, I've made 3 of them and leveled them to 20, I've even deleted one and leveled another one up. It doesn't take long nor is it difficult, you can get into Hard raids at 29. I doubt you have very many VoG clears, I've done plenty without getting any items and didn't come to the forums to cry. I made a new -blam!-ing character and tried again. Did you even get the IB boots/gloves? I doubt it, because you want your 30 to be 'easy'.

Join the club. Had to do the iron banner because two of my characters just weren't getting te drops they needed.

2 RepliesHard mode is how you get double drops. This concept is so simple. Hard Mode makes it so you can run the raid once a week and get 2x the normal drops, but better. ALL IN ONE WEEK. If you aren't running Hard Mode you're wasting your time. All legendary gear maxed will put you at 29. Then you just run Hard Mode and you'll get your gear so fast. I wish people would understand that. I would name all of my drops from 15 completions if you want to hear them. Please remember this!!! I have 15+ exotic weapons and over 10+ exotic gear pieces. I have every gun from the normal raid, a Vex, etc. my Titan has all his gear for 30, same as my Warlock. I know it's scary to run Hard at first, but I didn't tell anybody I had experience. I just listened and did my share. You will get there eventually!! Good luck!

It seems like you only do the normal raid. So you're missing out on another chance at drops every week. It's not that hard and will actually be easy with lots of lvl 30 friends that you claim to have. If you really want it you could make a duplicate character and get even more runs in just by switching gear. I agree RNG blows

I've done the raid for the last 6 weeks. 3 pieces of 30 gear. None of which btw are from the raid. RNGesus doesn't not like me.

I'm in the same position. Love the game but hate RNG!!!! One more attempt at VOG and if still no chest, I quit too. Was going to get DLC but worry that will be just as frustrating in the quest to hit 32. I'm 180hrs in and still can't try end game content being the hard raid!

*knocks on something lucky* My 3rd raid ever I found Gloves of Hezen and that was right after grinding the banner for the boots, I was happy. The rest of my raid team seemed a bit salty for a moment. That was a awesome raid I walked away from that raid with corrective, praedyths, hezen gloves, and glass minuet. I figure it was the RNGesus awarding me for my solo banner grind.
