...demonstrates mastery across all disciplines, rather than just mastery of cheesing the raid.

IB gear is way easier to obtain than raid gear. Take that from someone who is/was rank 5 in the iron banner.

Getting to what I consider "true 30", even though the nature of it in itself it bull, would be to acquire all four pieces of the raid set, no exotics involved, because that involves a requirement of completing the Hard raid, which is the hardest activity in the game. And I'm not talking about the people who ran in there and pushed Atheon off the map, I'm talking about the people who have spent the 6+ hours actually going from the start to the end in the hard raid. Enjoy it while it lasts, your IB gear will be obsolete in 2 weeks anyways when we defeat Crota.

My only participation in the IB was to do bounties, lo and behold I easily hit rank 5 with the use of tempered. The playlist was a joke, it wasn't a grind, it's was an easy way to give people level 30. That said I don't care how you got it, more people to raid with. Quit being such a horrible -blam!-ing community.

I have 2 lvl30s. One with full raid gear and one with full raid and IB gear. Despite what that character is wearing at the time it says 30. You can choose not to like it but you cannot disbelieve your own 2 eyes. It says 30, so I'm a true 30. Don't loose any sleep over it, haters.

Not every 30 who got their gear from the raid cheese our way through. Some of us actually like playing the raid and other PvE gamemodes rather than try and play crucible and deal with the terrible servers.

But you HAV raid arms on and no IB gear ( head arms feet and chest ) and a Lv 29 so who are you to say what a " True lv 30 " is? And plus gear doesn't make a lv 30 it's just a yellow number so to me skill makes a lv 30 either a lv 30 who kicks ass in pvp or a lv 30 who kick ass and revives teammates in PVE so really there's no true lv 30 it's just an opinion

Raid gear- they did the raid, IB gear- they did Iron Banner. That's it. I don' know what they did or how skilled they are. They could be awesome raiders or they cheesed Atheon and got carried through it. They could be awesome at PvP or they could've gotten carried through Iron Banner.
