Gravemind infects a single Jedi or Sith, he basically becomes the most powerful force-user in existence.

  • I'm well aware of "The Gravemind's" capabilities, and it STILL can't use the force. (It's a mass of dead flesh and "The Force" requires "living" energy.)

  • It's a parasite, not dead.

  • It eats living energy, but doesn't emit it. Therefore it can't use "The Force".

  • The Flood is alive. Know about Jenkins? He was being assimilated, but he was still alive, still a thinking being with a living body, though it was being transformed. Also, look up SW: Red Death. Going to need an excuse other than that. Right when the Gravemind consumes a Jedi, he gains access to that Jedi's mind and abilities. Instantly becoming capable of using the force.

  • Jenkins? Red Death? (P.S. Again, I am aware of what "The Gravemind" does during "infection", and it could use "lightsabers" but NOT "The Force")

  • Jenkins was an infected human who was still able to exhibit some control over his body. My bad, it's Red Harvest. Got mixed up between it and the sequel, Death Troopers. is a story of Sith who became infected/zombies. Rising from the dead and continuing to have some capacity for the Force. Additionally, the darkstaff could so something similar.

If an average human could resist "The Gravemind", then a "Jedi" or "Sith" could EASILY do the same. As for "Red Harvest", "Sith" are so filled with resentment and anger, that's, most likely, what "revived" them (hence how "Darth Maul" survived being cut in half and then falling down a miles deep abyss). (P.S. What's "The Darkstaff"?)

  • Red Harvest Sith were literal zombies, brought back to "life" through the use of a viral infection. The Darkstaff was a weapon that could animate corpses into zombies that could use the "dark-side". As for the Gravemind bit, it was explained that the particular infection form that attacked Jenkins was weakened by something, allowing his mind to retain very limited control, though his body was still transformed into a typical infected human form.

Well if "Star Wars" has THAT, then slain "flood" and can be turned against "The Gravemind" and made more powerful than ever! (and "soldiers" too!)

  • If I remember correctly, it isn't exactly widespread in its effect, the staff. As for the virus, it has a possibility of being a contender, but the Flood is likely much greater. Once a Jedi or a Yuuzhan Vong gets infected, the war is pretty much over. Once the Flood gets to work with the Vong, it will get entire worlds of organic matter to assimilate. With any force-user, the Flood will gain the knowledge of the Force and the ability to use it.

  • "Yuuzhan Vong"?

  • A powerful race that hates technology and uses the equivalent in organic structures?

  • Sounds like they'd give "The Flood" a tough contest.

  • The same Flood that has a primary function of infecting all organic matter?

  • They could probably create an organic material that "The Flood" can't affect.

  • They don't exactly have any experience with the Flood. Also, the Flood pretty much affects everything. If it's organic matter, the Flood will infect it. With only one notable example of failure that I know of. All it takes is one successful infection, which, considering teleportation, would not be difficult.

  • Never mind. This is going nowhere.
