Though he should drop something worthwhile - mats, shards and chances for purple/exotic.
As a roaming strike/raid level boss he can certainly drop good loot. You can easily limit it to once per day to avoid farming.

Is Grimiore not [i]worthwhile[/i] to you? Me and my friend love the Grimiore cards, but to each his own.

Grimore is "cute" but has no in game impact. With progression tied to loot the reward for gameplay needs to be loot - in a way that makes sense, isn't 100% RNG and can be planed - IE do X strike to get gloves. That is why you play - for loot to progress. Without this circle the game gets old. Which is fine - but I sure won't be continuing to play much longer if the progression and loot system isn't improved.
