Exactly. Not to mention they judge the TV by how it performs under the harsh lights of the showroom, which they don't realize it 100 times brighter then their home, so LEDs look great where plasmas look dim.
Then they get home and their LED light cannon is blinding them while wearing sunglasses.
Plasmas offer better input latency also. Deeper blacks, more accurate color, faster refresh rates.. The literal only downfall is when a game has a über bright static HUD and burns in..
Which, case point, is why I feel HUD options should be standard.
