I didn't want to, but this is what plagues me...

I've been against making a topic on this over and over again since there seems to be a serious redundancy in topics about errors people are having. However, I can't seem to find any up to date thread, thus help, about the issue I'm having. So I hope to hear at least a small helpful nudge from someone. "ATTENTION You have lost connection to Destiny servers. Your permissions to access online multiplayer gameplay may have changed or your profile may have been signed in elsewhere." This has been an issue randomly for a while now, but very prominently this past week and I haven't been able to play a single bit. Normally it's just an annoyance meaning I have to reset my connection and things are back to normal for the time being, but that doesn't work anymore. I'm playing on Xbox One, with a very good internet connection, hard wired to my Xbox. I've gone through every networking guide according to Bungie, uPnP is activated and I've tried it with and without the correct ports forwarded. I just find it hard to believe this is coming from my end but any help is excitedly accepted. I really just want to get back to being able to consistently play the game.

  • Try the steps listed below. 1. Unplug modem for a minute 2. Replug modem 3. Reset your modem settings. Factory reset(only if you have your username and password for your IP service) 4. Hard Reset Xbox and play.

  • I managed to make it past the character select screen finally. Only to be met with "newt' error codes every time I try to travel.

This error is generally caused where there is a misconnection between your connect and XBL/PSN and registering the license to your console via being signed into multiple consoles and/or needing to restore the license. To restore your console license, you'll need the follow page: [url]http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12181[/url] I would suggest following those directions to make sure you Destiny Game is re-registered to your account if you are consistently receiving this error. After that is done, power cycle your console by unplugging it and leaving it for 30 seconds, then power back up and try again.

      Please check my troubleshooting solutions here: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/79500153 Often times people believe they have a good internet connection due to download/upload speed, but in reality they have serious issues with latency and packet loss. Destiny is very sensitive to these issues.

      • Same here. Did everything on help section with no effect. The problem is not on our end. Bungie is messing up big time.

      • Dude ignore the comments, there is NOTHING wrong with your connection. I bet if you play any other game on XBL you have zero problems. I lay BF4, Titanfall and no disconnects AT ALL (well maybe once every couple weeks or maybe 3 weeks?) The disconnects here, Vulture, Centepeed, Hare, Baboon, among another 5-10 i got in the last hour is beyond ridiculous. Its insulting. their servers are made of crap. I simply cannot fathom how they are not sued yet. The issues are Bungie alone not you. Stop wasting your time to try and fix it.

        • Anyone from Bungie care to throw in something? I'm trying again now for shits and giggles and, go figure, I CAN'T PLAY. This is ridiculous.

            • Well I made it past the character select screen for once. Only to get into orbit and receive "newt" error code every time I try to travel to a destination. Along with my friends list in Destiny not working. Seriously, when am I going to be able to play the game?

            • Cleared your cashe? I've had that once and cleared the cashe. I'm finding myself clearing the XBOnes cashe a lot with Destiny. Seems to work as I won't have any problems for a few days after. Another habit I've got into is actually quitting the game after I'm done. That seems to help too.
