I play on a 60" Panasonic and I have never had the burn in problem with this game or any other that has a HUD. You should make sure you have your pixel shifter on auto and playing in the game mode. Not in any other mode especially vivid with high settings. Also the white wash is not the best way to get rid of burn in you need to do a color wash or having a constant moving picture in the spot that has burn in.
