A poll where most of the answers are against the topic isn't fair.
I do agree that the blade dancer's ability is a little OP based on one simple fact: it has the highest potential of getting kills than any other class. For example: a blade dancer can jump onto a capture zone and kill the entire team with a single showstopper, wait for them to spawn and then kill even more people (I do realize that this is an extreme example but it is well within the realm of possibility). Having said this, I propose an alternative.
If you merely look at the gunslinger special, where the amount of times you can fire off their one-shot ability is limited you have your answer. Just put a limit on the number of kills you can achieve with the blade dancer, or a limit on the number of times you can swing the weapon if you're strict. This can easily be balanced by doing things like increasing the distance you travel when you attack and it's fair.
Please, I would love to hear people's thoughts on the matter. However, I have given a reasonable suggestion (at least in my eyes), and would like to hear the same from others.
PS.
Yes, I do play a hunter.

You do know every time you swing you loose some of you're super energy

Limit the number of times you can swing the blade? Worst suggestion ever. You realize by swinging the blade it helps you close the distance between the enemy faster then just sprinting straight? If you did know this you wouldn't have suggested that.
-
the number of times you can swing is already limited. Every time you swing you use up a little more of your super energy, and when that runs out, it ends.
-
I was referring to there being a set number, don't want that at all.
-
There is a set number, they just don't tell you what it is, and if you use the trigger button or spend too much time between melee attacks, you can't actually reach the maximum.
-
Do you have any other reason other than personal want to keep it the same? I would like to hear your side.

It's fine as is. The last word hip fire kills blade dancers in one clip when I see them coming.

I was never debating the survivability of the super, I was just commenting that its ability to get more kills than any other super made it just a little OP. Of course, I am willing to fully admit that this is my opinion. It can easily be argued that being able to achieve that feet(of getting more kills than any special) would require more skill than simply launching a one-use, thus making it a high-risk/high-reward ability... but that's why it's a debate.

Of course. I think it's fine. I use all three characters and I find, quite simply, the blade dancer is definitely an awesome super with a high kill potential, but it's only a high kill potential with a team that isn't organized and keeps rushing towards that area to get danced on... In my PVP squad, we call it out, and shut it down very quickly. As someone who used it in the banner, I find that I can average 2/3 kills per, and only teams with no communication, will I see a 5-6 kill feed.

I definitely appreciate your input, but you're starting to get into the territory of controlled environments.

I gave both examples. Uncontrolled environments, common in the crucible, blade dancer does have a high kill potential.
