Not necessarily. At the end of the Sword of Crota the sword just disappears. There's never any confirmation of whether or not we actually destroyed it. It just goes *poof*.

Oh, really? It's been so many, many hours since I did that mission for the first time. I forgot. It still doesn't make sense that you turn in a shard of the sword based upon the end mission dialogue. At least IMO.

Oh no I totally agree. Maybe its a mix of the two. Like the sword disappeared and we broke off like a small chunk or something

Haha well played. There is hope, but in the mean time far cry 4 has all my attention till the dlc launches
