My weapons aren't rare if everyone has them... Problem
My feelings on the matter and how I see gear.
Common, uncommon, rare, legendary and exotic was a poor word choice, they are not tiered by rarity they are tiered by power. The only "rare" items are gear/weapons only obtainable by RNG. Such as raid gear/weapons and faction gear/weapons not sold.
Love my multi-tool and hope those that buy it today will enjoy it and help them get through harder strikes and weeklys.

Exotic does not equal rare, it just means they have special properties.

1 ReplyBungie never said that exotics were going to be extremely rare for people to own. The exotic bit is that they are "unique" from other weapon types with perks you can't find on any other weapons.

I believe the only truly rare items are the weapons dropped from rng,say for instance a gc3 with field scout or something to that regard.

This argument is always over the guns. They are meant to be used, not just by you. But in my opinion wouldn't you be more upset about gear than guns? No one cares that a lot of people look similar but it's the fact they use the same gun as you that trips your trigger? This game is like a strange social experiment.

3 RepliesI like how rare the dropped ones are. The ones I have gotten from drops all have different special abilities. I really prefer them to the static ones available from a vendor. Maybe that's their design?

3 RepliesPeople misunderstand what they mean when they say Rare or Exotic. They aren't rare in regards to other players having them, they are rare in regards to the amount of other items that drop in the game. Purple engrams are very rare in comparison to Blues, and blue engram's are very rare in comparison to green engram's.

2 RepliesI've mentioned this before as well. Greens should be common because they are Blues should be uncommon Purples are most definitely rare and exotics should first and foremost alien weapons and gear. Not man made, that's not exotic in a space game.

3 RepliesSo you're telling me you get more exotics and purples than blues and greens over the course of a week playing? There's no way that's possible. It is far more rare because you get one or two a week that you keep but countless rare and uncommon that you scrap.
