Titan Juggernaut Pretty Useless?

So I'm just looking to see if anyone would defend that Juggernaut for the titan is a useful skill to choose. I definitely think it has a few problems. Just as a note, this post is concentrated on its usefulness in PVP. First of all, is seems like it is really fragile in the sense that if I move my left stick to the left or right much at all, or jump, it pops. I find this really annoying as it makes me have to like avoid strafing completely and just rely on turning with the right stick. Running in a completely straight line sucks, especially if I cant stop if I want to keep the shield up. Next, it really doesn't last very long. I REALLY have to try hard to calculate how long it will take to come up and in how much time I'm going to lose it. This makes me really uncomfortable calculating when to start running depending on the enemy's location. I think that when it comes up, it should just stay up for a given period of time, even if you aren't sprinting. Last and most importantly, it seems really weak. I'm talking like 3 shots from an auto rifle and its down. Its usefulness is really questionable when it barely protects me at all. What do you guys think? Am I using it wrong? Or could it use a tweak or two?

  • Good points guys. Also TwoCoins reminded me that Catapult is pretty useless too lol. I don't even know what to say, it just sucks. Comments?

    • I agree, it's a little shield while sprinting. Pathetic. However if they had that while we were shoulder charging on an exotic armor piece, that would be worth the upgrade.

          Shoulder Tackle is underwhelming too. Shoulder Tackle and Juggernaught would be very useful if Catapult moved as fast as blink. I use shoulder tackle as a ghetto blink.

        • Definitely needs a tweak. There's nothing more frustrating than starting a charge at an enemy only for the shield to fall half way to the target and get mowed down. Shoulder charge is in my opinion the most useful of those class abilities. Guarenteed kill if you can survive the run at them!

        • I only found it useful for playing aggressive CQC, mostly in Rumble. It's even protected me from a golden gun. That hunter was very surprised to hit me and then get shottied in the face P: Otherwise it's only been mildly useful and mostly obfuscating my vision.

          I've never tried it since I favor shoulder charge, but if it's anything like shoulder charge, then the charge up time should be 3 seconds from the time you start sprinting, if you notice enemies are around the corner, then do what I usually do, just look at the wall in front of you and start sprinting at it til you get the shield up, then head towards the enemy. Beats having to time the charge up when trying to rush an enemy. I keep thinking it would've been better to have Juggernaut be part of shoulder charge, you see the shield pop up in front of an enemy Titan, then you would know your in for a bad day unless you have enough firepower to stop them. Would also help the problem with shoulder charge not always working since alot of times you will hit an enemy with it, but your the one who gets taken out by their shotgun.
