Load up destiny and you get a public event like prompt sayin
'the fallen are advancing on earth' or 'the hive have mobilized and are taking the moon' ...'Join the Battle!'
Then it takes you (via matchmaking like strikes) direct to the battlefield with 50 other guardians and 1000+ enemies!
Add a difficulty gradient as time progressed through the battle so that Majors and Ultras would be more frequent and the difficulty of the AI would increase after each/or every so many waves of attack. but these waves should be so large that you can't catch them at a spawn point there have to be so many that it takes that many guardians to hold down the area
...and that would just be epic
this needs to happen
EDIT 1: To clarify 'Needs to happen'...... this can't even begin to happen until scalability is more about content expansion than it is trying to keep up with sales. This is really just articulating ideas from gamers with big dreams so that a company with resources (budget and drive) can turn tangible. As I do not work for Bungie/Activision, nor do most people on the site here, so I do not know what they are and aren't capable of..... until they say that magic $ figure for the annual budget that is lol.
EDIT 2: So stable servers are making 'The enemy is moving against each other' into an enjoyable experience now that we can have more guardians on any planet AND with the recalibration of Shotguns in PVE the overall experience has been amplified imo (finally doing real damage to majors) NOW it just needs to be connected to a public event concept where reward can be for participation or maybe based on K/D experienced from enemies related to that event. STILL I want the ability to get 10+ guardians on the map for one of these events; they can be so much more fun than the actual stories, bounties, nightfalls, heroics etc. when you have a bunch of ppl firing rockets, shotguns, sniping, sword of crota etc.
admit it ... you all know that's the kind of mayhem you're looking for
